This will essentially change our flagship vessel into our mobile base of operations - if Deep Space Engineering is up to the task, or if the vessel itself is capable of being modified to that degree. In any case, this project requires hauling out equipment and personnel from Starflier Base to live on that particular Bustard-Class ship. Since we requested a few crew members to relocate from Inverness to Kepler, I'm asking if your staff will be content living on board a vessel that will make frequent use of Rift-Jumping technology. Instead of placing our researchers on a Bustard-Class ship, Leon has started making small preparations to have a Shukensha-Class liner converted into a research vessel, akin to the NX-01. So all of our team, plus the scientists you have sent over, would be moving onto the liner to continue their work. The department would be reduced from R&D to just Research, since producing any hardware onboard will be impossible. This new mobile research platform will be scanning for rifts in space, very much like our Bustard-Class vessel. Our operations will take us all over Sirius, though with our new discoveries of anomalies within Sirius, most of our time may be spent learning as much as we can about them. What sectors of space have the Technocracy got a presence in? I'll be sure to keep that information easily accessible, in case we're stuck in an unfortunate position and need emergency assistance.
