Thanks for the effort in making this event. I agree with Lucas.
Here's my point of view for this event. There's chapters so, first one is when I played Unidentified, and the last part was when I was part of the escort. Feel free to check out.

First, and probably the worst part of this, the Repair Ship. The Repair ship was always on the Barge, making it impossible to do more than a scratch. We tried (and did) to kill it a few times, but when it has the ability to respawn what is at most 50k away from the Barge, and at best like 5k, then there is not much point in doing so. By the time it's back, it'll have healed the Barge to full in a few seconds while the Unidentified side has to chew through over 6 million HP.
This is why I'd like to see the NEMP brought back. I'd have no problem with a scaled down version that simply causes a 1/3 or 1/2 ratio for hull damage. That would be a good way to take big chunks out of large ships, get use out of them, and not end fights too quickly with the instadeath feature. If it were fraction based damage, at least smaller groups would have the ability to earn the option of a special (albeit expensive) advantage. When battles begin, bombers can launch the NEMP to soften up an opposing force if they can get them within range of the explosion. Under that system, snubs that get hit would lose 1/3 or 1/2 their hull strength in one hit (a few thousand), but the barge would (at 1/3) lose 2 million HP. And with that system it would just continue to flake off a big fraction with each hit. This would also mean they are much more valueable against larger ships than smaller ones.
To me its crazy not to have something like that available here. You side would have been able to work to be prepared for this sort of event, and know you can still compete even drastically outnumbered. The only drawback is that they would be moneysink weapons. But if you are willing to earn them, a small group can guarantee better balance. Just make them for sale at NPC bases for reasonable prices, or make them buildable via POB's.

They've scratched the Barge in 41 before the Unidentified people joined together to shoot it, but that's pretty much it. During the important parts of the event, they've just been killed while chasing a lone bomber or cruiser, and not focusing on the Barge like I imagine they should've. Also the fact that the Battleships were hostile to us as well, meaning they really weren't on our side either.
Yeah to me the NPC's are a bit much. It's the same with the NPC's that spawn in these battle zones, my connection plummets and I'm blind, can't really join in on fighting them. The whole time it might have been just as cool to have just one super strong giant Marduk harass them, or at least, one tougher than normal Marduk at a time.
