Greetings, fellow militants and those on the verge of joining our cause,

We stand at a crossroads. Something is stirring in Kappa, and with it comes a rare opportunity.

Our “friendly neighbors”, the Corsairs, appear to be making a move in the system. Their transports seem particularly focused on The Vis, and many Livadians fear they will strike at Livadia itself. We, however, disagree; we have always been seen as insignificant—easy to bend, especially after our brethren signed the theta treaty.
Our belief is that they plan to attack Gammu, home to the AI currently under Core influence.

Remaining passive will only work against us. Once again, the Corsairs will assume we are weak and may even seize Livadia with their fleet so close at hand. Therefore, we have but one option: if they respect only violence, then violence they shall receive.

We are redirecting all nonessential forces to Livadia. Even our legendary leviathan, the Hyperion, will be deployed to lead our efforts. Our objective is simple: make them pay for Freeport 9, for the lives they have taken, and for the future ones they will claim if we do not act.
Let The Vis burn.

Take. It. Down.

This will assert our independence and ensure that any future dealings with them occur on equal terms.

The Core may also join the fray, since Gammu—home to the AI—may attract the Zeta rogue AI trying to return there. That could prove advantageous. I realize some among us bear grudges against the Core, but for now, I ask that you set them aside. As for the AI, their intentions remain unknown, and so far they have done no harm to Zoners—nor have we acted against them. They seem to desire their own freedom, as we do, so do not interfere with them unless you choose to offer assistance.

Finally, to all current and prospective militants: we have made substantial investments in our ships and weaponry following previous skirmishes with the Corsairs. Feel free to arm yourselves at our stations. The battle ahead will be fierce, and its outcome will be etched into the history of Sirius.

Stay vigilant. Stay united. And let us show the Corsairs what it means to provoke the Zoners.

Greetings, fellow militants and Zoner,

The operation was a success: Thanks to your effort, we crippled the Vis so severely that even the Penitence would pity it.
As for its escort, it was nowhere to be seen, likely reduced to a fresh scrap field somewhere by the Core.
The Hyperion sustained moderate damage; however, our powerful Leviathan's cannon and bomber squadrons armed with rage torpedoes inflicted significantly greater destruction upon the Vis.
With these two capital vessels out of commission, they’ll have to re-evaluate their priorities.

But let us not succumb to arrogance. While this strike was a powerful blow to their local forces, they remain a dangerous threat until they are prepared to negotiate an authentic peace agreement.
Perhaps eventually, this event plus their increasing isolation and the dwindling supplies reaching Crete will prompt them toward genuine diplomacy.

In the end, we accomplished our objective. The Vis lies crippled, at the expense of a single Core battlecruiser.

On that note, we leave you with this stream of the Vis getting pummeled by the Hyperion.
