' Wrote:The ships aren't that great. It's the nomad equipment, really. Whatever they have, the missiles or the torpedoes, they own the hell out of you. I'd fight a nomad for a good seven minutes and then somehow, while my shield is still up, be exploded in one shot.
Equipment.hm i looked on flstats and gues what?
Nad torpedo is weaker brother of mini(slower, less damage and more energy consumping)
missiles are equal to sidewinder, paralyzer and cannonball.
But i saw only few keeper ships with missiles, and never saw someone from them with dual missiles.
So are you sure it is in their equipment?
They fly them when they are doing some sort of propaganda. When they visit NY for example. That little thing is agile an slippy so it's hard to catch and kill.
Nomad Interceptor wasn't some kind of a special ship or anything, in fact even equipment was a typical one. In missions where they were spawned the game added normal nomad fighter wings and then next moment replaced their names with "Nomad Interceptor" string, so you saw them like that. Apart from that the only difference is that in some cases they were given a more aggressive AI routines, so they'd basically kept following you regardless of distance and didn't fall back. Other than that there is nothing special about 'em.
Nomad weapon stats are somewhat lower than normal ones, near to the tractor beam rate.
Its perhaps the mood that ship gives. I always use a bomber and usually end up being a terminator. And I am one of the medicore to bad PvP'ers of the nomnom team.
