1. I dont know I have heard and seen stories of people losing ships cause of someone feeling threatened.
2. I may feel that because the experience i had with pirating was pretty rancid
3. I have been chased out of faction areas cause i was looking at bs's. Told I would never have their bs (all I want is a cruiser nothing more or less ><) threatened with a kos/bounty because of what someone else was doing. Told I couldnt have any of their items. And constantly threatened.
4. white items, the bigger the more sanctions they get it seems. I cant count how many times my gunboat has been threatened when I even stopped and tried to rp out its story with them. (only worked a few times kudos to that southern corsair guy)
5. Gallia is like having a delicious cake that sits there on your plate ready to be eaten, yet you get your hand smacked if you try to grab it. Best way to describe how i feel about it. If its not done dont put it out, cause thats just tormenting people who like it.
6. It really doesnt and it makes it more difficult for those who want to have truly good rp in it and forces them to grind for it instead of rping like they could be
7. Problem is I havent yet. Its just normal stuff and you can read all the experiences i have had in previous posts by me.
8. my rl is hell and im not gonna say why unless its in pm so as not to attention and sympathy whore. Im stretched pretty far and things are bugging me more then normal. But i hate dealing with some of this stuff over dealing with the major demon in my life
Galacius, we've talked about these on xfire, i hope it helped a bit.
You jumped onto the deep water on your first swim lesson, by starting to pirate in a white ship in your first month. I think thatswhy you had so many bad experiences with players. Tho there is some truth in what you say.
I just wanted to remind you to stick to the rules and ignore those players who'd like to ruin your rp.
I'm looking forward to see you on the server after i've finished my exam hehe!
(And saying "Who cares?" in your mind when something is bugging you really helps! ;))

Thanks man it helped, im still mad as hell about things and sad about others, but im definetly going to push on and it might really help to get a faction, where I can get a bs and has a mixed bag of pvp and rp.
Its people like you, the junkers I have been running with, and the people who have posted here or pm'd me that make me give this game a second shot.
First of all, you are welcome. I cant say how much I appreciate a good thank you every now and then, especially for when I give my perspective instead of just for providing information.
Now, a few things:
Dont listen to hearsay, for it is precisely that. I swear sometimes people around here act more like gossipy old hens than anywhere else I know. The admins are great people, some of which I have the privilege to know. Their decisions have always seemed to be fair and just and open to appeal in case they did make a mistake.
Cant really help you on the pirating, I've never done it. If you get threatened a lot while doing it while you have broken no rules then i would just tell whoever you are pirating to feel free to report you as oyu know you are innocent, but he still has to meet your demands or die. If you get a lot of people who want you to kill them, then i suggest working with someone who has a cargo ship and can pick up all the loot and sell it later.
As for getting chased out of systems that are owned by player factions... They are owned and controlled by them, if you want to enter and are not in the faction make an in RP request on the forums to arrange it. If you just want to check out ships, do it in singleplayer or on another server, as window shopping is not terribly in RP in itself.
as for sanction threats for white items, tell them to feel free to report, but again you know you are in the rules. Ask them if they will do you the courtesy of RPing it or if all thet are willing to do is rule lawyer you. Also, you might want to try RPing having gotten the ship from an official faction. Make a formal in RP request to buy or use the ship from the faction. This will give you a good deal more leverage i think.
About gallia, if you want a gallic ship, play a gallic character, it's an RP server, thats how it works.
You can come up with equally good and interesting RP in a small ship as in a big ship, or in a trade ship vs. any other ship. You're only limit in terms of quality of RP is yourself.
Using white ships and pirating is in the deep end and is ambitious considering the environment here right now, trust me. You can go deeper still, but not too much.
Overall, I think you can make your experience here much more pleasurable if you do a few basic things:
1)Stop being afraid of sanctions, if you know the rules and follow them you'll be fine. If you feel iffy in a situation, just take plenty of screenshots. Pirates should do this anyways as traders are overly defensive by nature.
2)Work with more people on the forums. This can justify a lot of stuff you do in game and help you make friends to play with in game. It will also give you allies and a reliable source of support for when you need it. Another great place to meet people is my help channel on skype. This is where sprolf started and if you read the testimonial in the page linked in my sig, you will find how much it helped him. Also, the majority of communication done here is done on skype, so it is best to use it if you really want to network and learn what people here are really like.
3)And actually what these other two hinge on, be aware of where you are holding yourself back and creating worse situations for yourself. Try and compromise and change your approach when you can. Flexibility helps a lot here and if its something you are or can become comfortable with I recommend it highly.
Again if this is something to deal with instead of something you benefit from (in terms of stress reduction or entertainment/enjoyment) you should consider leaving. But if you think it is are perhaps can become something positive, then stay.
Whatever you decide, good luck, and now I have to go to bed, stop keeping me up late:P.

Add me on Skype or PM me when you want to go through a system and I will hop on one of my character's for that faction, I doubt they will make a big deal of it.
