hmm the idea is interesting, however leaves, as you said, much to be answered, such as coding problems, and the fact that the moored ships would still be in space. on top of that i would ask, how would base idling kicks be handled.

on a positive note, i think, that even if this is not implementable into the games code, it is very very RPable.


its not uncommon to see ships of all sizes loitering around manhattan's mooring fixture, or a base, doing their own RP in local chat. if we wanted to implemnt this into RP, you could rp a mastodon liberty supertransport, located near the mooring fixture, getting resupplied, or recieving refreshments, from player ships, of a smaller size, that rush around it, like waitresses on roller skates at a drive in.

although, i do believe several RPers in the server have already implemented this roleplay, i think that acts as a compromise, to all those who wish to participate.
