Wow...this is the most popular thread I've ever had... HOW SAD is that?
Blame: Well Hmmm...
Who do I blame. I think modders as well and the absence of the Admins... ooooh where are you oh Gods of Disco... *puts up the Disco Ball Signal... We NEED you!!!
Might this have been a denial of service?
Every time I got a major lag spike the system chat told me that several cheaters had been kicked out and than the lag went away again.

Not a DDoS. That's happened before and it resulted in the server being totally shut down until the issue's resolution. Some interesting stories came out of it though.
The kicked players were probably lootmodding/some other cash-increasing hack.

I'm pretty sure it's not a DoS attack. I think Boss' instincts are right on the money. I also agree with Ivan. I have no issue waiting for a resolution, but I think that something should be done to address it. I'm sure the admin team will be all over this when they see the server logs. *crosses fingers.
It's still going on intermittently. It's not like packet lag where my ping will be 500ms but if I do something, like for instance, run /ping, it will take around 10 seconds to execute then it will run ping just fine. Some sort of delay function in the program gone berzerk or what?
