I tend to stay away from Gamma and Minor. Liberty is enough of a headache as it is.
An Osiris with Solaris turrets is equivalent to a bomber with dual mini-razors. Oh look.
Besides, show me an anti-fighter battleship and I'll kill them with a Destroyer. When you re-spec your ship for an alternative purpose and in-turn gimp your primary purpose so much, what's the point? Especially when there are far better ships at preforming the job? If you want anti-fighter capabilities chose a ship that excels at that purpose.
If we removed Battleship's anti-fighter capabilities it might also stop newbies from immediately choosing to fly them from the get-go, they will no longer be seen as an 'all purpose ship' like they are currently perceived by some to be, and it would give the Cruiser classes the opportunity to work as excellent escorts for Battleships if we bumped up their anti-fighter capabilities. This would mean Gunboats excel at anti-fighter, and Battleships excel at anti-capital while Cruisers are left to choose between the two depending on which loadout they favour, varying their use on the battlefield.
You asked if I had fought an Osiris with Solaris. I just responded saying I spend little time outside of Liberty and well... Order capital ships aren't allowed there. What more do you want?
You may not have said the Osiris wasn't using pure Solaris, but you didn't specify otherwise. I'm not a mind-reader.
