The Greyhound is a ship that doesn't know what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be good at group fights.. yet I find it's stats do little to reflect this. The ship is large, and had paper-thin armour and low 'evasion'. Quick turning is fun, but not all that useful for the ships supposed role. It's slightly larger than average powerplant does nothing to compensate the power-hungry Sammaels (but no power plant really does) and in a world where Graviton shields prevail, you're going to find yourself out of power most of the time.
If you can't really aim the MR that well, a Greyhound probably isn't for you. (So I have no idea why I'm still flying it xD)
Switchblade is quite fun too, but it feels very fraile, and not quite fast enough to make up for it. From my experiences, you're in for a wild-ride and many 'You are dead' blue screens. If you want a real challenge, load up a Stiletto with Sunslayers and Neutrilizers/debs. It's way more fun.
Never flown the Bayonet.
If you choose to fly a Greyhound, hit me up and we can roll around together. Greyhound power <3
Quote:Scimitar. It can have so many loadouts, is the sexiest ship in Discovery, and has a good powercore.
If I'm not mistaken, all HFs have the same powercore (Except the Greyhound and mk I ships) at 9000 u.
The Scimmy is slower than other LFs, mainly because of the obvious advantage of a class five forward turret, which gives it a fair power boost compared to most other light fighters.
The only ones that really have more firepower capacity than it are the loki, the hyena, and the nomad fighters, thanks to the torpedo slots.
Edit: Hrm, I thought it did. Well, three class nines plus a class five turret is still pretty good, not quite the scimmy power though.
I dont think the hyena even has a cruise disruptor slot, which makes it significantly worse than any light fighter on the market, other than the homeworld imports or mk 1 vanilla fighters.
