Quote:Greetings Colonials. I would like to apologize in advance that we are not able to talk face-to-face. My name is Dr. Ryker - As you may have guessed I'm a scientist, specialized in Robo-Tech. I have spent most of my time working for Ageira Technologies, chiefly in developing new types of missiles but during my later years I have indulged in creating Self-Sustainable Combat Droids, also known as SSCD:s.
Now you are most likely wondering what an Ageira Scientist has in common with the Colonial Remnants. Well to tell you the truth, on a personal level, nothing at all. I know next to nothing about you people let alone seen a Colonial Pilot in my entire life. However, a few days ago a complete stranger walked up to me as I was performing experiments and handed over a sealed letter. I was told to only open it in complete privacy due to the nature of the content. The letter was a birth certificate of my father, the very same father I had never had the chance to meet. It said that he was member of the Colonial Remnants. Naturally I asked myself how I ended up here in Liberty but such questions I believe would never truly be answered.
Regardless, two months had passed since I had received this letter and we were at the final stages of completing our first prototype of a SSCD. It was then the Liberty Government stepped in. They wanted to use it for combat against Rheinland and although I protested that it was not yet fully-functional wasn't going to change the inevitable. I knew this because I was in the very same situation a couple of years ago when our team developed the first type of cluster-missiles.
In fear of loosing all my work I renamed the SSCD to codename "Colonial Friend" and programmed it to head for the Tau-23 system in hope of finding your people. I couldn't trust my life-work to anybody else, I have my doubts even with you the Colonials, but I guess, when you are desperate you simply have to hope for the best. I assume the Liberty Government will put me in prison and at best, fired from my job. I promise you however, that as soon as I humanly can, I will find you, Colonials.
You may have noticed that the SSCD has a few "initials" attached to it, to be more precise - Z11. That is the current mod version of the Colonial Friend. It can upgrade on its own but it requires real-time experiences, approximately one week will be required for each update. The final mod version is Z15, if my calculations are correct all aspects of the Colonial Friend should be operational by then.
I hope that if this Droid ever finds you, it will be of any use. Farewell.

Welcome Colonial Pilot. You have selectedRecord A-02- "Colonial Friend Operative System"
TheSSCD "Colonial Friend"have two main Operative Systems:
#1 -Default Programming
Default Programmingis in effect whenColonial Input Searchhas failed. In other words when no command has been issued by a Colonial Pilot the Colonial Friend will automatically initiate commandDefault Programming.
Default Programming covers three key-areas:
Engage identified hostiles
Patrol Colonial zones of interest
Repair & Re-supply
#2 -Colonial Input
Colonial Input [CI]is any command given to theColonial Friend. Prior to anyColonial Inputbeing issued to theColonial Friend, it will analyze the Pilot's voice-pattern and configuration. If it matches theColonial Voice Databasethe Colonial Input will be uploaded and executed.
In order to issue an command, you have two options:
Option A:Name the SSCD Colonial Friend by its full codename "Colonial Friend Z11" (alternatively shortcut the codename). Option B:Type [CI] before transmitting your desired message.
An example would be:
"[CI] Shortcut codename Colonial Friend Z11 to Z11."
TheColonial Friend Z11will then reply based on the content of the command in order to confirm that the command has been successfully applied:
"Z11 is now a shortcut to SSCD codename Colonial Friend Z11 and can be used to issue Colonial Inputs."
