And to add to Blunt, I've taken a trader who didn't want to stop down to 1%, then he stopped, while I was trying to get money from him, he hit his bats, I could tell he was about to get froggy, and I had had about enough of his delaying tactics at that point, so one ceribus blast and he was back down to about 1% armour, and then I left him for the NPCs, who took him out immeditly. So point of the story, a few days later I run into the same trader, and before I even had to fire he asked me "how much?", it was that easy. Sometimes it's about getting a reputation as someone who doesnt mind blowing up a trader and his cargo, just to prove a point. It's called RP ladies and gentelmen, and for all those who always say " Pirates cant blow up a ship because that means you cant get the money" remember, sometimes it's not about the money, It's about the message.

That is what I have been doing when pirating the Tau 31 route. People start to pay after they've died four or five times. As Zelot said, it's about the RP not the money, you've got to get that scary "I'm gonna kill you" reputation. If people know that they won't make money then they will pay up.

For example to TT's last comment :

Prospector.

A xeno terrorist flown by doom, one rule only : Pay to support liberty workers, or die.
He has pirated 100ds of people, blown up even more. Now allmost everyone pay's to him last i heard.

Fear ensure's loyalty

' Wrote:So I've been getting this a bunch lately and I'd like some clairification from the peanut gallery or the admins. Almost every time I attack people, wether trader ar police or other(I'm a corsair ) they give me this "you didnt warn me, I'm going to report you." Now being that I havent been sanctioned, I am assuming that my interpretation of the rules is correct, which is that as a pirate I must demand money or cargo before I destroy a trader...but I can do as much damage as I want before asking for payment. Thats for traders, but when it gets to factions that are against you in RP, It is my understanding that you dont have to give ANY warning before attacking someone who is an RP enemy of yours. Now everytime I get this "you didnt give me warning enjoy your sanction" I respond with "report me it wont come to anything I'm not worried" Now my question is where do people get the idea that I have to tell them before I attack them? WHY WOULD I TELL SOMEONE BEFORE I ATTACK THEM, THATS JUST CRAZY!!!!!!!???????
thanks

:DI totally agree!!!!!!!!

I'm nothing but a shadow...

I begin to think tha its time for consequenses to this type of behavior. I'm done being nice to people and their out of RP chat. You think I did something wrong? report me, if the admins deam fit to sanction me...So be it. But I dont think thaat will be a problem, because I try to play the game by the rules. Just like in real life, justice is not perfect, and there are dis-agreements with the rules, and just like in real life, I leave these descions up to the judges(admins). But no longer will I have conversations about wether a rule is broken online. If you think I did something wrong, report it, if I think you did wrong I'll report it. But no more of this incesent " you're wrong, no your wrong blah blah blah" I'm done.

GOT A PROBLEM WITH SOMETHING IN_GAME, TAKE IT TO THE FOURMS- THATS WHAT THEY ARE FOR!!

Well, the QCP have people ready to pay them before attacking because they're very friendly to their victims.

It's only business, and these victims are helping the Queen, willingly or not!

'Please' and 'Thank you' combined with apologies for the theft's necessity go a long way.

And thats fine, but all I'm saying is theres not only one way to RP and if I want to RP a sonofabit, who ripps a ship apart before asking for money, and if they dont reply immeditly blows them out of space, I'm allowed. Some ways of pirating may work for some, and other ways for others. Thats the fun, dealing with diffrent people and situations in diffrent ways.

May all your RPs come true.
