This wasn't about missions being too difficult, just about that I was under the impression that the Recruit ID should allow to buy ships and stuff to allow people faster repping of characters.
Other factions ships are availiable with the Recruit ID (I know for sure about the Odin and Templar), so I thought this might have been an oversight.
I know how to rep chars, to take double bribe and all that kind of stuff.

The Hammerhead can't be bought, I didn't check the Sea Serpent though, since it isn't on Sheffield.

Hammerhead can be bought with a recruit ID.
You still need to be green with the BH though, so if you just mounted the recruit ID, and didn't take a BH bribe to get green rep with the BH, then ofcourse you can't buy the Hammerhead.
I'm pretty sure that is the reason you couldn't buy it. You are allowed to *facepalm* at yourself now.
Wow, didn't know that green rep is necessary now to buy ships as well, thought that would only apply to guns.
Then again, I didn't buy any faction ships in the last months.
To be honest, I can't remember if I bribed first and tryed to buy the ship or not, so thats probably what was the problem.

So.....

Nothing new there. Been like that since Vanilla FL came out. Factionships sold from faction bases, needs you to be green friendly with the faction selling the ship. Quite logical, actually.
If you can't get it done in a CSV out of Manchester your BHG career may not be as glorious as you're expecting.

I don't understand why people always have to get personal when someone is asking a question. Sure, go ahead to assume I'm not capable of doing missions in a CSV, when that hasn't anything to do with my original question. Did you actually read what I wrote? Don't seems like it.
Also, you're just repeating what has already been said by others.
Also, No, you never had to have green rep with anybody to buy a ship, being able to dock on their bases was enough. Green rep was only necessary to buy guns in Vanilla (not to mention that some ships (like the BHG ones) weren't even sold on factions bases in Vanilla.
Wusel, do you understand just why the Manta, Orca, Bottlenose et. al. are not allowed through the recruit ID though? Ignore the non-answerers among the cadre and focus on your question and the answers brought to it.
Recruit IDs were being abused by people buying capital ships of all sorts w/o the rep, going about with the recruit ID generally mucking up the place, and saying "I am working on my rep". Now, they can work on their rep all they want to, but not in the top-of-the-line equipment. It fits logically too as no organization would give their best stuff to an untested rookie.
So, according to above posts, you can pick up a Sea Serpent or a Hammerhead, which are plenty good ships to be able to do missions to finish off your rep after bribing your way to the top (as it were), and should top-off the IFF meter in no time with one of them.
I just checked the tech chart and noticed that the Recruit ID isn't on it anymore. On the old chart (Which is still in my mind, kind of, just coming back from a longer break of Freelancer) the ID was green to pretty much everything and I haven't checked on this particular ID since then, my bad.
However, the Recruit ID doesn't allow anything larger than a freighter anyway, so the use of a Capship with the Recruit ID is a rule violation in itself and I have no problem with flhook denieing access to these ships while equipping this particular ID.
Anyway, the question has been answered and the matter is closed, I assume.

I was making a funny. Relax.
I noticed this last night too when creating my own Bounty Hunter. I got the Purchase Denied message, went "huh", and did a couple more missions in my CSV. No real big deal.
