Battleships are not really that big.

The only thing that makes jumpholes safe is the game mechanics. Have you played the single player story?
I wonder why haven't the LN ordered a JG for Virginia yet.

Jumpholes aren't reliable in RP, since they are only temporarily phase-aligned. But they do work, for any ships. However, due to the game mechanics, jumpholes are static and forever functional.

And yes, the liberty dreadnought and the rheinland battleship do fit through the jumpgates. You don't make a car bigger than the road.

I'm pretty sure that all the comments about how jumpholes work in-RP in this thread are based off things that Ageira have said. Which is obviously bias against people using jump holes.

and since jumpholes are in abundance by using them instead of using ageira could mean less piracy.

Actually, Ageira builds both the gates and the holes. They just have too many Gate parts in stock at the moment that they want to sell them first and save money on storehouses.

This is ridiculous. The scale of Freelancer is nowhere near real. Plus, player Lib-Dreads manage alright.

Nerd, why not go and hassle EVE, I'm sure they'll appreciate your rapid fire gobbets of wisdom ...
Unfortunately our tolerance for someone continually pointing out Freelancer's blindingly obvious idiosyncrasies,
and wasting forum space here, is not an infinite resource. And you are very close to having used it all up now.
