I'm creating my first true roleplaying ship and need some pointers.
Ship: DSV-Dauntless (or DSV-Intrepid)
Aligned: Liberty Navy
Mission: Explore all systems. Report findings. This mission will be a test of endurance for the crew, and quarters as well as ship manueverability will need be considered.

I'm thinking either the Talarca Light Cruiser or the Outcast Destroyer, both due to the compactness of the ship design for manuevers in space. Initially I wanted to get the Battlestar Advanced, but it's just too big, and the Liberty Navy wouldn't commission something that large for such a quest.

Any other thoughts as to ship purchase, equipment?

I'll have a crew of 8, and I'll always have water and food rations in the cargo hold. Any other roleplay necessities?

Please help me out here, and don't respond if you're just going to flame me for my roleplay newbness.

Liberty Cruiser would be perfect.

Great manuverability, fits for LN and has realy big gun if some pirat decides that you are not welcome to "his" system.

I think that you do not need RP ship as you fired upon AW Ship,that is not pirate,you will have to get a
Liberty Dreadnaught whit Neutral ID because of it.

Pharmaceuticals, Engine Components (repair parts), Consumer Goods (yeah, people do have to break the tension in a trip like that. So I'm talking about sports gear, videogames, music stuff and whatever else you see fit), light arms (even if you don't plan to do all the trip without landing on a planet, they might be useful if you crash on a hostile planet)...

If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

3x$10k credit cards (in case they pick up some honeys)
Artifact (hangs from rear-view mirror)
1 Small Arms (for the drug deal gone bad)
1 Passenger (his wastoid friend)
Food & Water (for the munchies and cottonmouth!:D)
