I've not gone so far as to condemn, belittle, or even down the shields on a Unioner vessel, although my engagements with them have been less than cordial. I don't mind their efforts, hell, every man has his limits when it comes to oppression of any sort. I can definitely relate. However to mount a cause, co-horde wealth, and establish a code of brothers whose mission is to destroy folks caught up in a system of socio-political gobbledy-gook is far from perfect in delivery. Reminds me of the old earth saying, "don't shoot the cook!" He is only the result of the system we've been willing to accept.
If you step back and think about the whole situation the perspective ought to be one of education, not destruction and "crime". There is nothing criminal in man, there is only lack of fulfillment.
To have a world, or even all of Sirius Sector, without need... without the use for credits or monetary gain. All of mankind freed to pursue his passions... is that possible?

I received a communication from home today. My sister sends word of Mom's passing. She had been ill for some time.
Grief hits me, and yet something loosens within my heart, as if a knot has been untied. Since father's passing I have always yearned to return home, to live that simple life of excellence, the spirit of Bushido. I've not had the nerve to let those thoughts linger, and quickly swallow them down and away with the shot of liquor.
...I need time to work through all of this, some place to plan my next move. Time is like a running river, it is right there in front of you, and yet it comes at you, and moves away from you so swiftly. It's hard to jump in that river and get moving again, but at the same time if you don't, it all moves away from you.
I'd like to get busy. I need to work, it will help me pass the time. The last thing I need right now, I imagine, is to stop off at the Luxury Liner and spend a few creds for a lovely night with my two best friends wine and women....
So, there's an embargo being enforced for cargo runs between Liberty space and Rheinland. I think this demands some perspective.
The universe is vast, and those who attempt to explain it often fall flat in the face of the truths revealed. Gravity, electricity, matter, and time are all examples of the vast unexplained. Humankind has been given the gift, and pleasure, of exploring this existence in which we dwell.
Given this wonderful opportunity, why do we allow power hungry misguided simpletons the liberty to shrink our existence to terms of wealth and power?
Credit is debt in the simplest of terms. Once you have some of it you need more. To say that some thing costs is an outrage. There is only need and fulfillment. It is our job as humans to remove the need and to help everyone achieve personal fulfillment.
But somewhere along the way we allowed some corrupt principality or power to rob us of our destiny, and insert monetary gain as a priority. I tell it is not! We are pushed and crushed from all sides and forced into this system that allows us to do no more than IT deems appropriate.
Our destiny is greater than this! Our call is bolder, more daring, and more fulfilling than the so called "bottom line"! When we rise up against this oppressive system and throw off the shackles of governments gone corrupt? When will we demand our rights and liberties as free intelligent beings?
I've shunned this world for far too long. I can be silent no more. I've avoided the inner workings of Sirius Sector in vain. The far reaches of space appeal to me in part because they are so far removed from the power struggle that exists in the House systems. But this is too much.
If we are forced to live within this system of credit, then we should be free to earn the wages we choose within the time we're given! To deny anyone such liberty is a disgrace on the whole of humankind.
Shame on you, Liberty Navy and LPI. Your actions are a disappointment, and are indefensible in the face of the human condition.
Time is a river that flows within itself. It begins as a trickle, a spring, a brook that gathers up its scene. It shouts in joy as it discovers. It gathers and greets with fury and freedom. There I am, a pebble, pulled along without care. The river flows on, and I carelessly float along in wonder.
Great and mighty the river beats and swells, pulling along with it the sands of time, flooding the banks as it grows. Drifting on to the sea slow and steady. Time passes me as I settle. It moves quicker now before my eyes.
My perspective shows me only what I see and hear of the river. That which I don't see completes the cycle, and the river renews itself. Were I to leap up, out of this rut that I find myself in, I could rejoin the river's flow and time would greet me. The river and I are one, you see, and its journey is mine.
Awwph! The worries and the years pass me too quickly. I've not seen or heard from any of my old friends in Sirius for some time. I've bottled away, and kept the soothing sounds of mox-induced coddling within my soul.
Gravity does funny things to your legs. Home now with the sis for near a year and I've grown accustomed to fishing in the afternoons. My perspective has indeed changed as I've come out from the oppressive nature of my alcoholism and womanizing.
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy both, but know a limit.
I'm not one to settle down. I've had the offer, but am disinclined. I'm not one who prays too much, nor panders for coin. I know who I am, and need none to tell me otherwise. Doc and Mal are good friends, but I'm no joiner.. I am a Zoner... just my perspective.
