Allow me to explain my reasoning behind shooting the Nomad. It was so I could get a brain for a more RP flight. Also, I shot down a Corsair to simulate me as well... I take it you saw me gunning the one in Delta down?... As for the speech, I never said anything in Delta. Not I, says Magoo.

And umm... Pharmacuticals (spelled wrong... Oh well) and H-Fuel? Not I, says Magoo, again. Just a brain and a pilot.

I would truly say anti-Nomad hybrids are unlikely. If men as strong willed as Governor Tekagi and Chancellor Niemann, along with numerous war veterans and scientists could all be infested, not a single resistor, then I'd pretty much say having an anti-Nomad hybrid is about as likely as having a warlike Zoner or communist Libertian.

for now ill just stick with what i had warbringer as originally, and ill play him normally. But i had a thought on the hybrid thing yesterday. What if hes a Corsair pilot who goes EV (after his ship is destroyed) and winds up being infested, and then sides with the nomads? any thoughts on that?
EDIT: on Praetyres post, what if This person (Warbringer) was say...cybernetically enhanced (parts of him pure machine, or machine enhanced), could they say...be able to resist?. ANd i didnt get that from any outside soruce

Oy gevalt..

You've ignored the advice of long time, well respected players and even long time Nomad roleplayers. They've tried to help you, and give you advice to help fit this character into RP, and ypu've ignored. As far as I'm concerned, you can't say no one warned you.

Cybernetic parts? Cybernetic parts would either start using independent matrixes (Strangling their own Nomad infected master) or be controlled by the human brain (Thus, same problem as before, Nomad controls parts too). As for cybernetic parts sparing people from Nomad control.. surely, if they could do that, you'd see more people with them? Not even Orders members have them, yet they deal with Nomads every day. Rheinland Military personnel don't have them, and they deal with them every day.

Some characters are like that here. My own character is such, see the "introduction" link in my signature here, though he have gone through some devious experiments during the nomad war era. Being infested and nomad-aligned (as in roleplay) is how it's supposed to be, but I'm not sure what people upstairs will say about your case. Still, you'll have to come up with a story for that and make up your roleplay seriously, because that's where things are getting difficult. And, of course, get approval from upstairs.

As once said: "resistance is futile". That sums it up.

Infested characters don't really side the Nomads, they do it regardless of their will, because there is little to no human there anymore. Not sure but I might say that there are possibilities for occurrences at which a human character gets infested willingly, it would be difficult to explain and character story should really give a deep insider look on understanding on why does that particular human came to such usual decision.

i had an idea on the willing host thing, but im not sure if it would work.
THis is my idea, the person's family is killed in the crossfire between Liberty and the Order, and he blames their deaths on the Order and LSF, so he seeks out a nomad to take him as a host for vengeance on The Order and Liberty

Well, you have to make a real story out of that and it needs to be solid and strong enough to be believable. Right now it's just a sparse premise, a rather doubtful one, no more than that. Make it a story and then people will decide if it's plausible or not. Explain thoughts of your character in the story, you have lead the reader to understand the character and make him/her to see why the character had made this extreme decision and not any other. This would probably happen only under extreme psychological condition, not just some simple vengeance but a deeper, complex feelings and thoughts wrapping inside as your character finally gives up and throws himself into the abyss knowing that there is no way back.

With that I might help, but don't think that I'll write it up for you. You'll do it yourself, as I can only help by giving suggestions and commenting along the way.

I have been thinking of all the psychological fun you can have if you play a nomad.

Stage 1. Infect a host

Stage 2. Hide your existence from the host or convince the host that nothing is wrong.

Stage 3. Wait for the right moment while feeding impulses and suggestions to a host.

Stage 4. Royally screw your host over when you the resistance is already rotten and crumbling.

Of course, doing this is restricted to the RP forums for the most part. My unwitting stooge for the nomads is in stage three though. These things take time. Play everything out. This could take months or years.
