Ever hailed a Junker NPC? They reply with "This is -J-unkers, blah blah blah", not 'y'unkers.

They are being called "Schrotties" in the German version, which suggests, since "Schrott" can be translated as "junk/scrap" in English, that they actually mean "junk" as scrap-metal etc.

So they aren't pronounced "yoonker" or "joonker" or something.
Mh...I think we had this discussing before...

Q.E.D.

If the German version translates the Junkers into Junkers auf Deutsch, then it's an English j sound.

...Schrotties. Das gefällt mir ein bischen hübsch.

I typed Junker in google translate and I don't get the translation xD

Also listened to the German, English and Dutch pronouncement of Junker. Pretty funny

That's interesting, I never thought about how it might sound in another version though. I think because of everything that has happened in Disco, especially with the Gallic origin Junkers have come to stand for something more than scrap collectors (at least to some people) but it hasn't changed the pronunciation.
