well.. imo i dont see why nomads and keepers shouldnt have a cloking device... even with unbalance, i mean they are blue space jellyfishes
but just nomads and keepres, not anybody else, not even wild

And there's the problem, why not the Wild? They are connected to the Mindshare, if I remember correctly from the Nomad lore, so they have access to the same tech.

true  but we could make an exception by saying that they are not really true aliens, and that humans lost that technolgy at the end of the nomad war or something like that... :P
anyway i dont really care about something that dosnt exist and had been discused over 9000 times ^^
In RP, cloaking simply isn't practical with the technology that humanity currently possesses. In one of the bars (I think Planet Manhattan), a rumor actually said that the Liberty Navy did actually get cloaking devices to work, but it took the power of ten battleship power cores.
That was in 800 A.S. In 817 A.S., I don't think humanity would have advanced that much to bypass the massive power requirement. Only Nomad ships have been known to possess practical cloaking devices, but that's because with their advanced technology, they can harness and utilize power more efficiently.
The only human ship that has been known to effectively use a cloaking device is the Order's Battleship Osiris, although I've heard that the Battleship Atum in the Alaska System also apparently has one to avoid detection by the Liberty Navy. These ships, however, have been fitted with reverse-engineered Nomad technology. No other group has access to Nomad battleships, so they can't reverse-engineer Nomad technology. Most Order ships aren't even fitted with Nomad technology because they are just way too expensive. Only mobile bases like the Osiris and the Atum have them because they need to avoid detection.
So as you can see, humans simply don't have the technology to create cloaking devices. Therefore, it's highly unlikely that they will be implemented in the mod any time soon.
