Crossfire is awesome, if you are not i a hurry to play its current version, wait till 1.9 comes out /this year probably sometimes in the second half of the year/ - should be a breakthrought in FL modding, with full FL style SP campaign announced also with new cutscenes and so on. Its worth trying:)

But I heard it has its own single player campaign. Is this true or wat?

When I played it the campaign was vanilla Freelancer.

88Flak, Crossfire, Plasmafire, Itano Circus amongst many others have open SP and Crossfire even has a custom campaign. Have a dig through Freelancer's moddb database and you're bound to find more than enough mods to keep you occupied.

I'd try some of them myself, but I'm too afraid of ruining my pristine installation.

I lost my installation when installing a new motherboard and cant load Crossfire, FLstat, or modmanager.
I hope that I can get an image file of a modded game in the future. (I will pay for it)
