Me and Elly use a large piece of scrap metal, with what seems to be a sealed off column on the side, as a place to stash our pirate characters. It's in Colorado. We /stuck ourselves into it, then F1 (of course, done for RP purposes, when no-one else is around). We may soon do a story revolving around it.

The structure: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/24/screen519.png/

The idea is that the ships are docked on derelict mooring points, within the interior. The sealed off column is, in RP, a salvageable place that we restored life support to.

Of course, we might soon be moving to the single module, in Pennsylvania, that you mentioned was in orbit of a planet.

A wise choice. It should be big enough to house anything a group of pirates may need.

And I also saw that piece of junk today. The hole burned through it surprised me.

Yeah, we ended up moving to the penny wreck. It's pretty cool. We actually have another person living there too, iRP - some freelancer we met named James.Garret. It's all working out pretty good.

I support people making use of these wrecks...just not ours :P

There's a busted up Council station in Champagne that might fit the bill. It's a bit of a flashpoint, and was damaged in raids by the GRN. I vaguely remember reading that people no longer lived there, so it could be ripe for a hunkered down crew of Council/Maquis resistance fighters, holding the line against the GRN.
