We caught an Outcast barge in Rheinland yesterday... Full of Cardi. So it does happen ... and it's painful to watch 40,000 units of anything (especially cardi) go up in flames.

but anyway. i dont gonna smugle. i just want to trade. and even tyhe freelancer get repninja for certain pirate factions while the smugler id has none. and when there become,s a enemy its real easy to fix it . i was thinking on the smugler id just for that. i can take whatever i want and just go. best thing there is for an vesel with the size of Trenton outpost

The freelancer ID has no repninjas, it's relatively easy to get nonhostile with almost all (human, non-guard) factions.
One major problem with the smuggler ID is that lolwut lawful players may shoot you even if you're carrying legal cargo.
