Tell me what you think, especially the explanation of how the machine works. I had some downright horrible writer's block and it took me ages to get that part done, I'm not entirely sure that what I ended up with is very clear.
EDIT: also if anyone can't see any quotation marks, please PM me or something. I think I fixed it but it would appear that copying from Word to the forums is an inperfect science :/
