thermal paste might be a good idea
It is not even hard to assemble/disassemble Laptop, you just need a good Kit- I use Weha Diamond Head- it is really good one.
If the Laptop is intensively used you need to clean it once per 2 months and change the paste once per 6 months- I use arctic silver 5 paste- good and cheap one. If you still have warranty call them and ask them to clean it for you - it works too.
This is the only working way with almost all Laptops that have their own separate GPU, sadly. Laptops are not for games but for work, use Tower for games- much more easy to clean. I have experience changing/cleaning/maintaining several laptops - mine/my Girl's and of the people around me- the price class does not matter much- it is all the same at the end, except that Toshiba are worse then the common cases.
Having Work only Laptop/Tower too (both I5 with some 4 GB DDR3 and basic video card integrated in the Mobo) with only one small fan that is off most of the time and no dedicated video card- it just works and works and works- no overheating no strange noises after 1 year( My Girl's XPS is singing all day long after 1 year- new fan/exhaust system for 50'¬ ordered I would need to change it next week...) and you can use it to work on it but no games or HD movies...
