A Zoner Gunboat

I'll tell you this, I've stopped two Zoners (Zoner ID) the other day in Rheinland, one was in a RH Cruiser, the other in a GB. The encounter wasn't pretty (and I don't mean PvP, which actually didn't occur).

Would you care to share their names in PM? The TAZ will taunt them a second time.

Hmmm... Mal... I'll have to strain my memory to the max to pull out those names from it, but I'm sure they will eventually get back to me, I kind of remember those things, not at a whim though. The thing that bothered me about this encounter, apart from having two Zoner IDed Rheinlander warships is that I did my best to keep my forces at check (I did have five very eager pilots at my command at the time, ready to go to battle), while I tried to talk the guy out of taking those ships away.

I reasoned with him about the absurdity of it and asked him, politely at first, more vehemently after, to return the ships to the shipyards and sell them back. I spent quite some time at that, at the expense of the respect from my forces, trying to reason with him. After some ten minutes the guy in the cruiser came up with a very top of the hat thing about being a former RM officer. Now, I'm pretty sure you don't walk away from any organized military force and carry along it's hardware.

Anyway, after a lo-ot of talking, the guy told me he would do it, that he would sell the ship. I told him he could do it at Holstein (we were at Frankfurt), that the forces there would take care of reclaiming the ship and later return it.

He went to the planet, docked and logged.

I must be honest. I don't think any pirate can convince me that a trader vanishing before his eyes can configure a more frustrating thing than this.

You may all call me idiot. You may tell me, "Are you crazy, do you really think the guy would sell his ship and lose his money just because you told him to?"

Problem is that I'm not so fast on the SS button anymore. I've re-educated myself to actually try and RP out of most bizarre situations instead of going about reporting them regardless, so I don't have it registered here.:(

Well I took the plunge and tried out the "pizza slice" aka IMG Gunboat. And it does grow on you. So far I'm liking it, its serving my purpose greatly.

Sadly enough, I do believe it is the Baseball Hat...which could be translated to something along the lines of Hot Dog...If only we could think of a more hunger-inducing name for it....
