With the latest iteration of the Discovery mod, will it lead to an alteration in the development cycle?

Development team, will there be changes in the deployment of the mod?

e.g. Current development is, big updates, few touch-ups. Does lead to massive hype, stability and high expectations though.

Or

Minor updates or more 'packs' of updates, episodic if you will. Can lead to quicker updates and more determination to faction updates and ship updates. Can lead to more work and less hype.

So, development team, will there be a change in the development cycle?

We've been wanting to change the way we release updates and handle the development of new version, for a long time now, but couldn't do so until .86 was released.

You will see updates released frequently, much like MMORPGs do, with new versions coming out every 6-9 months, if everything works out as we hope it to.

Unfortunately, that was how developers said .85 and .86 would work - one year minus development cycles. Consequently, I'm cynical.

's because people didn't want to kick other people out of the devteam for being a lazy bunch. One thing we've learned is that authority must be paired with commitment. Won't name names, but had some tasks be retasked sooner, we'd have released months ago. Lessons learned.
