Summer.

Sometimes we have trouble releasing a new version every year, especially with huge versions like .86.

It's 818 A.S. consider the last two years to be two halves of one year. Besides, given scale, players cand
Do things much faster than characters can in lore. Remember it used to take Trent a week to get to FP7, not 20 minutes.

I take an opposite position on that point...because players do things faster than characters can, the logical direct application would be that two game years passed for each of our years...instead of a game year for two of our years.

Of course, the balance to that is that players are not always playing their characters. Likely, a player who plays their charachter for a few hours a week (perhaps 8..) gets the proper amount of activity on that character (a week having 168 hours in it).

Dab, I see your complexity and raise you more complexity! :yahoo:

I checked on Islay earlier & there, the latest news says '818' but that's still kosher in my mind since that news was released more than 24hrs before new years

(& I imagine the invasion spoiled alot of parties all around the sector:crazy:)

Here's one I found today. It says 819 on several entries.

Ok now I'm even more confused. It seems its official, even the devs can't agree on what year it is ...
I spose we could make up some kinda RP story and jump several years into the future to cover this up.
