I never said you need to roleplay a raid. I am saying that you are roleplaying a captain of a battleship, who is responsible for the lives that are on the ship, and it's also an important asset for the protection of Liberty.

No one ever said you to raid even if there aren't enemy. No one ever said anything about single lolwuts going around Liberty with RM ships. Your own common sense, once again, should help you make a distinction between what are casual episodes of lolwuts raiding Manhattan and other places behind the enemy lines, and how the character you are roleplaying is supposed to act.

The first big obstacle to get around the enemy house space behind the war front, is exactly the definition of frontline itself. It's supposed, in roleplay, to be one of the places in which the density of military and navy ships are at it's best. How would a capital ship or a whole fleet be able to pass? It woudn't make sense.

If a navy would be able to just camp the enemy main system (which is also supposed to be more protected, uh?), don't you think the war would have ended already?

And yet, in game, we have fights around Texas and Hamburg, because in the end, we have to be a little more open minded, and accept the fact that some of our actions are required to get fights.

But getting in Frankfurt or New Berlin or Manhattan to search for a fight? Let's be honest, that's just stupid and nonsense. Why would you do that when you can send a message in the emergency chat, contact faction leaders, indies or others to organize events somewhere on the front? Why not just send a PM to a LNS/RNC who is online in Frankfurt/Manhattan/ and tell him, "dude, let's meet in bering/hudson and let's a nice fight"?

Assault1 made some raids in Bremen, with indies, quite some time. Nothing stops the others to do the same.

And we are not talking about fairness of the battle itself, the number of ships that are involved, the strategy used by the captains, we are just talking about what is reasonable for a person who is roleplaying a captain of a military/navy/armed forces to do. Or better, what doesn't make much sense.
