Because to be honest, Discovery mod is sort of crap.
It's got a whole lot of stuff. That's it, new... stuff. None of it interesting.
What makes it is the server plugins and the server itself.

It is called constructive criticism. maybe you'll just delete this thread before it even get's read by someone, but then the loss wovld me on you. I hope 4.87 will make Freelancer the reason we get off the chair feeling good and relaxed, not the reason we smashed our keyboards and threw the monitor off the window:P

Well I must disagree with You - I played FL Vanilla few times - and imho it was too easy...
HF with was able to alone take down a BS? please...
and Yes - it's hard to earn money alone in Discovery, a specially in misions - but that is why there is plenty people who could help You, Angels, other pilots...
I earn my first milion in mining, helping other ships to fill their cargohold by helium or some other stuff.
abd by that cash I buy my first cargo ship - and now I got bilions... and often I use that money to help newbies like You,
little ship You could use in many ways, to mine, to scout, to do misions with others, start in contests (in Penny there was a project where You could win some cash)
No need since you can draw cash.
Anyway the new guy needs to read a bit on forum first- discovery is extremely new friendly actually- no ship loss on death, no credit penalties, damn easy to make much money really fast, player factions that help new players and give them shared ships, 500-600 m loans etc...

I'll suggest the topicstarter to contact one of the [Angels] ingame for some quick start tips. I'll also advise him to watch his tone - along with a few other folk herein. If you do not like this game or mod, there are plenty of other places to enjoy on the internet.
In short, enjoy yourself or leave to find something better. If you need advice, plenty of folk who are willing to help out.

Tech nerfs are the result of tech-mixing.
Tech-mixing is result of couple factions with OP ships and couple factions with underdog ships.
Tech nerf is good thing- so no OP options are available, sadly the OP and underdog ships should had been fixed first then add the tech nerf.
