Why do we have to have blocky ships?

FL world should be fitted to suit us. Not...us being distorted
because of older technology! MS didn't think of making things
easier on anyone else who wanted to make mods for the game.
This is one of the game aspects that should be lifted to a better
level IMHO. I'm tired of hearing people not wanting to make things
better, because "that's the way its always been."

I'm all for smooth ships like this one that Jinx made.

personally i dont like any of the homeworld ship models in-game right now. The engines dont look right with freelancer engine effects, guns dont fit on them well, they dont have transparent cockpits (not a huge issue but it would be nice if all the ships with 'black' cockpits were fixed), etc.

@Walker: project is cancelled. - i received word that there are "plans" with the kiith somtaav involved and that this concept wouldn t fit those plans - and as a fully new submission, it was substandard. - so there will NOT be a KS SHF replace from my side next version.
