Change chars, do something else 'til they go. If they're abusing it by not RPing etc etc, report it and they'll get sanctioned. Or PM them and ask them to stop...I don't know. There's ways round it. It's clearly not that bigger issue or it'd have been reviewed by now.

Frankly, I'd say it's the very definition of powergaming in a roleplaying game. What's the inRP explanation? "My character has teleportation powers and an infinite storage of perfectly maintained ships with the exact same loadout"? 8|
Does it REALLY bother you that much that a pirate can return to the system you killed him in if you leave the server?
You leave the server or change characters, your lawful character is no longer there to protect that system, it's your fault if the pirate gets in another ship and comes back to the system.
And to my understanding, there really is no "dieing" in Disco, unless the owner of the character chooses that his character "dies". When you blow someone up, I think it's pretty widely accepted that he ejects out of an escape pod, and doesn't die.

Which is exactly what I said.
And no, if I actually log a different character I don't mind. They don't know that person blew up. It's just completely out of whack to run into them on the same character.
Another thing is that it makes death *too* meaningless. For example, when pirating, a lot (I'd say the majority) of transports just go "Pah. Kill me then." even if you make a fairly low demand. Ore tends to be an exception, for obvious reasons. However, those people are risking a 100,000,000 credit ship right there on the spot. I doubt insurance companies would hand out ships that readily. A little inRP fear of death would be nice, and if the rules give people a push in the right direction, that's a plus.

Thought you were being sarcastic when you said that. *shrug*
And good, I'm glad it doesn't bother you, because if it did, I would say that shows a bit of powergaming on your end, but it doesn't, so it's all cool.

That's what I assume happens when someone dies. Two hours seems like an almost reasonable amount of time for that.
Anyhow, the main thing is that there is no ooRP fear of death*, because in nine out of ten situations, your killer will log off or change characters fairly quickly (say, 30 minutes or so), so you can just go do things in neighboring systems and then return after they log off.
OoRP fear of death would, hopefully, show inRP as well with players not acting as if they're invincible.
*) Read this as "destruction" if that eases your mind.
