Yuuta Segawa, Vice President

Good day ladies and gentlemen of the governments of Liberty and Bretonia.

We hope you don't take offense in us addressing this message to the both of you, instead of individualized messages, but the topic of this communication is valid to both of your governments.

Recently, IC| has made an agreement and purchase with the Gallic revolutionist group known as The Council. This purchase consisted of several ME-UH "Vache" Gallic Train class transports to be used by a select few of our employees.

All relevant paperwork and transmissions with The Council can be viewed here, to prove our claims of requisitioning these ships from them, our collective allies, and not any other faction or group.

As we understand it, these ships are classified as illegal to fly in Bretonia by all pilots other than members of The Council with proper papers, according to section 3.13 of the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law, and illegal to fly in Liberty by all pilots other than members of The Council or Unione Corse with proper papers, according to section 3.III in The Laws of Liberty.

Interspace Commerce requests that these employees be granted access and passage through your respectively owned systems while operating these "Vache" class transports.

We assure you that use of these ships will be used to benefit each of your respective houses, as we have continually done in the past. These ships and the purchase of these ships have in no way assisted the hostile forces of Gallia, such as the Gallic Royal Navy and Gallic Royal Police. On the contrary, these ships and the purchase of these ships have assisted The Council, a mutual ally between Bretonia, Liberty, and Interspace Commerce, against the hostile forces of Gallia.

If there is something that the Interspace Commerce can do to prove our loyalty to your houses, or prove our support to your houses, please let us know.

We look forward to your response. -Yuuta Segawa, Vice President

Vice President Yuuta Segawa,
I must admit your request for the use of Gallic transports within Bretonian space puzzles me, it seems unusual that you would be in need of such craft when Liberty already possesses capable transports. However your request has been given due consideration and a background check has been preformed. I was most interested in your company's record, it seems there is several accounts of illegal activities, uncompleted judicial agreements, and negligence resulting in the destruction of a base in the New London system. The amount of trust and leeway that IC| processes for exceptions and special circumstances has been exhausted, frankly you should consider yourself fortunate that you're still allowed to maintain your licenses. Your request for an exception to Law 3.13 of the Bretonian Charter of Interstellar Law is hereby denied.

Signed
,
Chief Commissioner Marcus Wright

Vice President Yuuta Segawa, Interstitial Commerce;

Your request to utilise Vache-class Gallic Transports has been denied. Evidently the purpose of the established law is unclear to you. The purchase and utilisation of these vessels implicitly supports the Gallic economy, a hostile entity to the Republic of Liberty. The Council for the Liberation of Gallia and the Unione Corse are granted exemptions as we cannot expect them, as Gallic expatriates, to own or utilise more politically acceptable vessels. However. we would expect IC to purchase ships from trusted and reliable Libertonian or Bretonian manufacturers; ships which actually comply with Sirian safety standards and are wholly compatible with current refueling technology. While the Council is no doubt desparate to acquire what credits it can to bolster its fight against the Gallic Crown, it is probably more advantageous for them in the long term to keep their supply lines running and flexible thanks to a surplus of transport ships, not a deficit.

- William Hawthorne, Secretary of State for Trade and Economics.
