Although, I suppose the problem with SNACs isn't the cooldown of the weapon, it's the energy needed to fire it--if you try to fire it after the cooldown finishes but before you have energy, it resets the cooldown.
Would be nice if there could be some kind of alert...
This explains a lot. I've been in a situation far too many times where I fire my SNAC when the energy isn't fully charged yet, only to have the cooldown timer reset. As a result, I'm mashing away at the fire button when my energy is fully charged, but the cooldown has reset without my knowledge, causing great annoyance.
Needless to say, I think this should be implemented.
