The rule commodity is extremely out of date, so no the basic server rules aren't accessible in game. That is unless someone has updated them recently.
As you said, communication with other players can also be used, all a player need do is ask a [HF] or LH official faction member or an Angel and they would have gotten this information or at least had been pointed to the forums to find it.
I'm not sure how it is fishy when it was posted publicly.

I mean, there's like what, max of 30 to 40 Glasses on server? And how many dreads?
And the 'best' part is there's always a Dread running around Lolberty trying to find pirates to pewpew. (seriously, who uses a Dreadnought to patrol? )
Call the Xenos, we'll be happy to remove it for you. :P

I did read what he posted and I understand the reasoning. However, it's like giving with one hand and then taking away with the other. In the end it probably would have been better to keep it restricted.
Perhaps that new ship replacing the Lane Hacker guard ID will be interesting but I haven't seen anything more on that issue, so I think it's moot at this point.

Whatever. I tried to defend the independents. At least I'll still have my chars when the spyglass pilots get bent over and violated because of a few bad apples spoiling the bunch.

I'm not sure how whining and crying faction power abuse and conspiracy is defending them, but if you say so. Did you even notice that a developer has hinted that the development team doesn't like making people ditch a ship and tries to ensure they don't have to? Or that he hinted there might be a replacement so that they don't have to? Or are you ignoring that because it means you can't whine conspiracy?

Don't get too riled up. In the end, people move on and things change. There is more than enough time between now and 4.86 to make enough credits to buy many BSs. It's not the lost credits that I am worried about but the possible RP lost if someone was really doing a proper RP story involving a Hacker BS. I just hope, for their sake that there is a replacement of some sort so that they are free to continue whatever it is they were doing. As for the lolhackerbs players, they will find another BS to abuse.

I clearly said "full refund or replacement." If there's going to be a replacement, there should be no disagreement on your part with what I said.

Nah, indie abuse goes ignored too often. And I love being made a pariah because I'm trying to advocate for people who don't have a voice.
' Wrote:Well, can't fault you there mate. I do have one problem though. If Cannon made it open use to encourage RP, then what is the point of restricting it, to discourage RP?
Maybe you will call me a horrible RP-Nazi factionlancer, but really, a Lane Hacker flying a Spyglass makes no sense at all, whatsoever. I could go on and on on this subject, but basically the only reason why a Hacker should fly a Spyglass is that the name of the ship is "Lane Hacker Battleship". That's it.
Opening it to public was not a good decision to enhance the quality of RP around Liberty. Restricting it is.
