Meh unsign. Munich is a lame system. Those 120k journeys from base to base are ludicrous, and the mining field itself is just a field in the middle of nowhere with no back story or sense to it.
How about instead of just "buffing" the mining field, we all petition for a complete re-imagining and redesign of Munich into a frontier mining system instead? Dresden is on the edge of being mined out, so Munich could take its place as Rheinland's mining heartland.

Y'see, 'buffing' requires only Cannon and some FLHook tweaks. Re-imagining the system requires a mod release, which experience has proven comes around less frequently than a partially-fossilised, arthritic tortoise at a round-about.
Pardon my scepticism, but I don't entirely trust the development team to release an update for Munich (and Newcastle, if it's not already done in .86) before the people who cared in the first place have died of old age or otherwise left the community.
Sure, it's a stop-gap solution, but at least it could actually happen.
EDIT: If Rheinland gets to bypass its economic weaknesses by magicking up huge, rich mineral fields in a recreated Munich, I want minerals for Liberty, infinite H Fuel for Kusari and more planets for Bretonia. :P
As long as we're doing things to "revitalize industries/systems" why not add more points of sale for scrap (hint: house shipyards) or buff the prices at the hispanic shipyards?

'twould be enough to just scale down distances. but ye, a minefield that's a bit closer to like ... anything would be nice.
Munich mining field (like Dresden's cobalt field) is active but below Omega 7's production. Reason being it's inside house space, and more or less uncontested. A place for people who want to fill up a little slower, but in safety. And yea, Munich needs a redesign. Drop 2 suns and scale the damn thing down.

All Munich is used for right now is trading and even then, not many people go in there. While I'm not sure if buffing just one mining field would work, it's better than doing nothing. I also think it would be ultimately better if the system was redesigned, but this shouldn't be attempted until after the release of 4.86. We don't need another thing holding up the release of 4.86.
