I can't say that any fight with Mon is exactly unfair, yeah he chases you if you run for a while, but he ussually lets you go after a couple of min to go kill some more victims. If anything he has provided more good RP "in-game" then he does with his HAHAHA by forcing people to convoy or produce a contract to run him off. After my own research I say let him wander, you can always ignore him and run if he is bothering you or make some good in-game RP of our own and rid space of a terrorist. I am going to give him cudos on his ability, he is always good for a challenge
SGT Matt
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.
Anyone who takes the time to read these forums knows who Mon'Star is, knows what he's about and will either avoid or tackle him. If a lower level character hasn't taken the time to familiarise themselves with the various homicidal maniacs present on the server they've only got themselves to blame if they wander into his space and get splattered across the screen.
Never come across Mon'Star myself, but that's because I keep an eye out for him and avoid the area he's in!!
Keep it up, Dreygon, it's good to have you around. No complaints from me.
Stoat: Same here. I've always prided myself on being observant as to who was within one system of me, and especially when Mon'Star, Prospector, or any other known terrorists come on. I'm constantly checking to see where they are so I can avoid them, which provides some RP value in and of itself. Yeah, maybe the HAHAHA thing does get old, but really. How many different gags ARE there for homicidal maniacs? Not many, and laughing is the stereotypical one, I think.:P
EDIT: By which I mean: I think you're doing just fine, Mon'Star. It's always fun to have to talk to other people and convoy up when you jump into a system nearby.

Nuff said IMHO.
No reason to argue over this, if he didn't deserve the ID he wouldn't have it. Why continue to argue points that are now shown to be utterly moot?

Is this how "normal players" are seen here. Are our issues seen as petty because we are "normal". Please give us lowly, normal players a chance to chat. If nothing else people can learn from this thread.
Back on topic. The only issue I have with Mon'Star was as a low lvl a while back I just got bloomed and wondered what the hell was all that about. I got 0% RP vibes from that I'm afraid. Now if he had maybe said anything, even a HAHAHAHAA I didn't even get that.
As a higher lvl I can now understand why he just shot me without a word after coming through a JG, but as a low level it just leaves you feeling a bit pawnd.
This thread has become pointless, no one has a problem with Mon'star's RP. I only took issue with one incident where he returned to a spot I had RP'd removing him from and he acknowledged in game and moved and also said in this thread that he would'nt do this again. It's not like he makes it a habit. Please just let this thread die now or can an admin lock it?
ive been reading the thread the whole way through and i have a few thoughts....
terrorism is mostly a question of perspective - while one person's perception of an individual's activities may be that they are "psychopathic" and pursuing needless slaughter, there is the OTHER perspective - i.e. that the person is engaged in violence for political purposes. The IRA bombed shopping centres in the UK - yet many people within the organisation believed (however misguided it might seem) that this was to secure what they saw as a legitimate objective. If a terrorist player is clear in stating what particular end they are pursuing, much of the malice and ill will ive seen in these posts would probably disappear. For the sake of RP, my xeno is prone to lengthy and tedious lectures about the fascist liberty regime and attempts to control the airwaves. Sure its annoying, but thats what you get if you are only able to fly an eagle and have to hightail it when a gunboat shows up. Perhaps terrorists should be more clear about what they are terrorising and why.
And if a terrorist is really terrorising you, then do as is done in real life. Send in the special forces. When i started playing, i got really tired of being taxed on my to kusari space. Result: i start making allies, running in convoys, communicating with other traders...i.e. enjoying a RP game by becoming immersed in it. Oh, and I value every credit i make even more as a result. Now that is realistic.
Sorry if i rambled a little.
Great game.
