Junker snubline

Seeing as the Gitano and Bulldog are hideous imports, I'd like to pay a modeler to replace them. I'd also like a VHF and bomber modeled so the line is complete. Payment will be something along the lines of 1.6 billion (this is taken from the 2.5 bil mentioned in my sig).

There isn't a set style for Junkers, so let your creativity take hold. I'd prefer them to look like they were once normal ships (not based off any ship line that exists though) but with gratuitous modifications (armour, boosters, munitions, racing stripes, fins etc). As I said on our private forums: "I'd like our snubs to be streamlined yet very solid looking. Preferably coloured dark grey with some rusty plates."
So maybe take that idea and pimp it out. Make some concepts we can discuss them.

From the SSC, I present the Gitano Concept replacement model:

Background Story: The Gitano was a Junker's idea of using unorthodox parts from various ships in its construction. But although the Gitano was made by the junkers, and unknown company were originally to create it. But since the project never launched, the company, anonymously gave the to a atmosphereic, two-seater gunship to the Junkers. Intended for the Liberty Marine Aerial Support Division, or LMAS(li-mas), to the junkers. The plans were incomplete, but since Junkers used parts they find floating about, they were able to create a light fighter with no problems. Armed with 4 forward cannons and 1 turret for gunner operation, this "To-be-gunship" was turned into a highly manuverable fighter. Able to house 2 personnel, the Gitano, was modified by some to allow it to be piloted by a single person. Capable of going toe-to-toe with most light fighters and some heavier fighters, the Gitano was considered to be powerfull, despite size.

That's what I got. It was the 3rd that didnt look to close to the Combat Service Line. Since you asked so it didn't look like a CSV and added that the Junkers don't have a specific set style, made it all easier. If you don't like the new design, I'll jsut go back and make it again. Still trying to get the Texture/Material thing down, so no promises there.

I like SSC's model, but it doesn't look space-flight-capable to me. Then again, most FL ships don't... but still. Also, it would totally need to be renamed to Dragonfly.

And Ten's models remind me of the old Marauder. Not sure if gusta.

Tenacity Gallic Junker line was not added in the mod for unknown reasons- however the ships there are really good and gallic junkers could use them for sure.:nyam:

Thanks, Toaster, for the complement. It was made out of another concept I had, but it was before this topic was made, so I had to change a few things around. Like remove the bottom section that looked like a part of the CSV. I can just change features of the model, problem is, I may ahve to change to a point where it would look stranger than usual, but as you said, Discovery has ships with unusual looks. Concept-3 could be a new fighter for Civilians, just remove the turret from the under-side.

Bulldog is awesome, I simply love how it totally breaks the monotonous junker ship style and simply makes its own way. Just give it a new paintjob... Gintano on the other hand needs lots of love....
