As for the blocky/streamlined debate, you COULD (admittedly, I'm probably bending some unknown law of physics here) explain the need for a streamlined hull to be due to GMG space predominantly situated in Nebulae. They could, in effect, replace air to produce a "drag" effect in space making a streamlined ship make sense. it'd have little practical implication; ships travel at the speed they travel and they are often fairly similar. But you could explain in a in-context infocard or some such that having a streamlined hull like this means the engines 1) don't work has hard to achieve a given speed compared to competitor vessels and 2) Burn less fuel in the process.
Love them both. Especially the "Snub-nose" freighter, that's beaut.

Have to say this version looks extremely like a gorgeous luxury yacht with extra baggage:(..... having been hoping that version #2 (shown in dusty's post) would be a replacement for the garanchou since I stumbled across the original thread for it (actually saved both versions one and two cause they were so sexy and i was afraid they would disappear). Anyway my biggest problem with this version is the sideways storage tanks.... the ones that ran parallel to the hull were way sexier imho.
