((damn I need to stop posting in this thread, too many posts from me on one page. Pah, this should be renamed Keepers Q&A:)))
If the keepers get a home system would it be a dyson's sphere. After all it is a SP object so it can be included. Oh wait, its a unique object... Bah. Anyhow, are any Nomad fighters still avadible that people can prove themselves to the keepers in? Oh yeah, if someone IS trying to prove themselves to the Keepers, what ID should they use?
Yes, you should fly a Nomad Light Fighter, as Yuri instructed, and try to RP it if you wish to join the Keepers. Of course, you don't have to do this, but it is one way. As for IDs.. that's a good question.

No, dyson sphere isn't going to be used for that. It was rendered uninhabitable due to the energy grid malfunction that was caused by opening the hypergate. There are still nomad NPCs flying around though. The hypergate doesn't function either since it was prematurely activated. As for the homesystem, well, I don't want to spoil the surprise. Nomad Light Fighter is publicly available, previously it was at Freeport XI but since the 4.84 release it was moved to Planet Primus in Omicron Kappa. Anyone can buy it, however you are still bound to the ID you have as regards the PvP. Which that ID will be is up to the player. Before the faction time I had my Nomad characters that used Lane Hacker ID and tag for several months. So it's a bit tricky situation here, personally I had to politely explain why I had those to every person who has asked about them. It's annoying at times, especially when someone was demanding explanations while you was in fight, but it worked out. Also people who were harassing by sending hostile PMs or "discussing" your roleplay in system chat in OOC (I wonder, where did they go now?). Suffice to say even at it you are mostly on defense actually since when you roleplay nomads you are most probably get shot. Also, before the faction has become official the only two planets I was able to land on were Primus and Gammu, so it's a good idea to dock only at those two when you are on a trial period.
One question, for the Keepers.
Are you enemies of Outcasts as well as the Corsairs?
Because, i'v been reading few reports on board, and i have come to the conclusion that you are saving Alpha from Corsair invasion, killing Corsairs, but not killing Outcasts?
I'm just asking a question, because i'm not sure what happened.
Have you actually attacked both fleets, or only Corsairs?

// very much off topic - is that a "Xenon II" picture you re using as an avatar? // - blimey, thats one <strike>old</strike> ancient game:)( treewyrm )
Outcasts were attacked earlier and killed on several occasions, in fact on the same day as when Corsair attack on Alpha happened. We have our own concerns and interests as well. We have no allies but we have our preferences in targets based on the threat level of opposing sides. Should be noted that Nomads aren't mindless-random-target-killers. We choose targets carefully and attack what and when we decide to. Additionally I would like to put that Corsairs have long time got into way of the Nomads by making alliance with the Order and pushing forces back into Iota.
Yes, i understand you hate the Corsairs more.
But then again, you didn't attack the Outcasts, while you should have.
Now it seems that Alpha is gaining new Defenders, and i don't think it should be like that.
If you are going to Alpha to get into a fight, which i personally think is ok, you should attack both sides. Maybe Corsairs first, but Outcasts shouldn't be let untouched after the Corsairs are dead, like you'r friends.
As it is now, it seems to me that Keepers are not touching Outcasts, and Outcasts are not touching Keepers.
They are, after all, hostile to you, aren't they?
Actually, i have witnessed Keepers in Gamma few times.
They were pretty much hostile.
And i have witnessed them in Alpha. And they were pretty much not interested in killing.
So, my question is, are you the enemies of Outcasts, or are you their helpers?
Question is simple.
And once again, this is purely conversation, not flaming, not arguing, and i would like to keep it that way.
I believe these critiques can actually bring some good, so people understand who Keepers are, and what are they doing.

You got it entirely wrong. As for you have never seeing us killing clan-tagged outcast: RoS member was just killed today in Alpha. So, what new defenders of Alpha you are speaking of? Nomads? A while earlier RoS were seen as close as to planet Xerna and were destroyed there. Is that how friends do? Killing each other? And finally: we attack when we want to. Just because Corsairs get in our way most of the time doesn't mean we need to go to Alpha and have equal score to satisfy some other group of people.
Thank you, i didn't say you don't kill them, I said i haven't seen it.
So, you are, your answer is satisfying.
I am not a Corsair, don't get me wrong, and i am certainly not an Outcast.
I just wanted to know how are the things done.
But still i am interested, how did you RP your mercy towards the Outcasts, after the Corsairs were dead?
And did you scan them for some Nomad cargo in their hold? Would that make the difference?
Once more, this was not about me attacking your RP.
I understand Keepers have brain and are not mindless killers.
Only want to know what to expect of you, that's all:)

Just because you didn't see something doesn't mean that didn't happen. I don't feel like to explain everything to everyone at the smallest question. A lot of things remain hidden for the purpose, it's up to players to discover. The process of finding secrets, discovering new paths and stories, this is what Discovery is about. I can say one more thing: there are lots of opportunities. This is not a cage as some tend to see it as, nor will I make it a cage-faction. Look into the nature of Nomads - they use various means to archive their goals, brute force has never been a single option in their list. There are infiltration, sabotage, persuasion and many other ways. Some of them are waiting to be "discovered".
Come to think: if we put everything into cage, make a spreadsheet of absolutely strict alliances which under no condition can be changed, obligations as to who must kill whom and how many times, make kill ratio for factions, quotas to meet, etc... Will there be a change in the world if all it will do is repeating itself in the short time frame? A foundation for the stories that is based on the events taken in game are the most interesting ones to myself, because they were actually played in game, not made up while listening to music and having much freedom and time at hand. It's being participants, actors and story writers at the same that makes the game enjoyable for many here including myself. Look not how to restrict others but to express yourself within the frame of the game universe. Keepers were created from such opportunity.
Roleplay-wise Outcasts were not involved in the nomad war of 800-801 A.S., that is despite them being the closest house to the nomad worlds. Outcasts call Nomads as "spirits" (there is rumor referencing Nomads in Malta bar from original game). Though never been an allies or friends or even neutral they weren't bent on destroying each other contrary to what some tend to think. Perhaps another mystery to find out...
One more note: we did scan after the fight, there was only one Outcast survivor and he fled very quickly before we could catch him up, perhaps he was afraid of being next target. Nomads took some of the survivors with them and left the rest to the merciful fate. Why and for what purpose? Questions come, yet answers are not necessarily to follow. Perhaps some will find out why, but then again - may be not.
You want to know what to expect from us, so here it is: expect the unexpected. You can find patterns in their behavior but that's about it. Don't base your expectations just on them alone, and certainly there is no point in starting threads whenever the result doesn't match it. Freedom comes at a cost of responsibility and we fully acknowledge it. Patterns are not rules, just because they tend to be common doesn't make them the only possible outcome or a solution, there are many exceptions and many opportunities in using those to enrich our gaming and roleplay experience. Who knows what to expect, but one thing for sure: I'm the absolutely wrong person to ask such questions. Avoid contact or seek it purposely - it's entirely up to you.
