Worried about mines?
Learn to use a CD or some basic evasion technics like not getting too close to him.
As for the ini files Dubstep mentions, I won't comment because I'm not sure what they affect in game. Clearly not agility (assuming what you say is correct) at which point, is it a reflection of mass or a game mechanic?
If it's a game mechanic, I'm not sure what the point is thats being made re: these but as I have said, I'm not sure what their affect is so I'll not comment further on that.

I believe he did.

We might just start going around asking certain people on what is wrong with certain ships and how they would like it to be fixed then take conclusions based on that, and then fine tune in open beta. This should address at least some of the gripes people have.
I don't always see eye to eye with Blodo but in all fairness, he did say he agrees that something new is needed. I'm not sure attacking people is going to get anything resolved.
While you're at it Blodo, ask the Unioners for their opinion on the Arbeiter because it's clear the balance team need a lot of input there.
If you are going to change any ship, you should look at the worst performer that has to be used, rather than the superior option that anyone can use.
' Wrote:They are not really that bad- remove the star background from the effects- mines are like red lamps in space after that you just need to dodge them. Actually Missiles are also bad so nobody uses them much.
I would say that 80% of the dmg comes from the guns rest 10 % mines and 10% razors/snacs- in fighter/bomber fights I mean.
"Mines aren't that bad, if you cheat you can see them real easy."
Yeah okay no. If removing the starspheres isn't against the rules it should be--unfair advantage and all that.
Also, while we're talking about gunboats that suck...claymore, anyone? The firing arcs are absolutely miserable, and you can't hit anything unless it's right in front of you...

You asked where the mass is stored. Its stored in the shiparch.ini, along with every other attribute for every other ship (turn rate, acceleration, hitpoints, type, thrust, torque). Open it with notepad and read it without editing it. Its written in plain english.

No he didnt. At least not both.

You clearly dont know who handles balance. It certainly isnt Blodo, although he sure doesnt do anything to change the situation. And why do you perceive this as an attack anyway. Im simply saying that those that handle balance dont know what they're doing. Though, I understand how these facts can be perceived as attacks by those people which they directly affect.

It's one of the scalable options on the graphics settings. Not cheating. I find that dropping the graphics settings like that to low causes me to get disoriented in a fight anyway. On top of that, I see nukes just fine. Doesn't stop me running into well placed mines though.

Silly post is silly.
Derp, egg on face. I guess I just push all the sliders to 11 without actually looking at them. Nevermind me. Thanks for the tip, guess I'll have to try that...
' Wrote:So that is why the Wraith is getting a buff. Yes, that makes sense. After all, at the moment, the Wraith and Odin have the same speed and same dodging capabilities, according to the balance team lead. According to him, the Wraith and Guardian are also completely balanced while dueling one another.
Oh but of course. Isn´t the Odin as small as Wraith and Guardian as small as Katana? (rofl)
Orca is weak vs most gunboats, that's the problem. Even if you make the forward gun a regular turret (which it should), then it is only on par with weapons but is still weaker on turn rate, hull strength, and ship size. It's just a really weak ship compared to the others (Rogue/Molly probably the only thing worse and why they are rarely used).
And Tridente is supposed to be a gunSHIP so it should have stats like the Bottlenose, not > Orca
Did you just called my Rogue/Molly gunboat worse than Orca? D:<
I am pretty sure it's one of the best unlawful gunboats.
