I dont "need" them, but i i would appreciate if you would provided them.
The reason is simple. Honestly, i think that your group was bored and decided to have some fun and test how solid other's RP is.
Very well. However, system-wide chat spamming in the end of encounter is NOT a thing that fits in RP enviroment good - but actually disrupts it.
I dont want to blame you in "trolling", but i have a certain suspicions in this. Providing the screens (in PM if you want) could help us to resolve this.
In addition - when people are annoying already annoyed police officer, they usually meet a police brutality. This is why meetings and demonstrations are being supressed. Police is getting provoked, when thay are standing around the crowd instead of being home with children. This is how riots are coming into light.
Before all this LHI nonsense i had interaction with some freelancer flying drunk and cardamined - trying to resolve it peacefully - then with Navy cruiser trying to assassinate civilian. I spend more then hour for arguing, and then you, guys are coming with system-wide songs, and frankly - i had around five people in NY who PMed me about your group with request to stop it.
So thats how extermination of Gaylord has come. Police brutality.
Quote:Also, might I ask what I had done to earn the arrest, and at what time you asked me to escort you to a prison, with evidence and an explanation, thank-you
Disturbing of peace, failing to comply police orders, refusing to pay a fine.
You see - IRL police have different facilities for handling a criminals and guys who were unwise enough to pee on public or stuff like that. We dont have different types though.
I have not asked you to go to jail. No one did, and thats a mistake.
Gentlemen, try to realize that everything im typing here is representing my personal opinion on the matter and is not official opinion of LPI leadership.
Your criminal database reporting thing is seriously cool, but it didnt seem to work when I tried to report the second guy (Joran.kesh), by clicking "post another response" after reporting the first guy.
Also I like that you have re-opened bounties, but why are you calling them associates? Wouldnt "special constables" as the name for volunteer police, be the right name for indies?

Could you point me to your standard /pimp set up for Grizzly lights? I've been through a lot of your info and may have missed it. I'm RP'ing an LPI transport and would like to get my light scheme to match your 'official' one, as it were. Thanks in advance.
Outside of using blue and red flashing lights there is no "standard" light setup for LPI- ships.
It's more of a personal preference then anything else. Some of our pilots use big lights, some use small ones. Some prefer slow flashing lights while others use fast flashing lights.
Also kudos for finding this thread it's been unused for a very long time. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them.
I've come to be aware that some(one) within the LPI- is taking a comment that one of my characters made INRP, vastly out of context, and I am now aware that it has become an issue OORP.
There is a HUGE difference between remarks made inRP and out of RP, and what my character said inRP in no way reflects upon how I as a player feel about the LPI- as a faction. Out of RP, I love you guys, and SOME of you may remember that I used to be one of the LPI's Deputy Chiefs, a few years back. The LPI- is home to some of my favorite memories of my time here on Disco.
If you (whoever it was/is) could stop taking something that was purely an in character, inRP remark, and making it into something it isn't, in order to fuel OORP animosity, that would be wonderful.
Just because a character belongs to one faction or other does not mean that they as a person have to march in lockstep with their allies, or that they cannot have their own personal points of view.
Please for the love of all that is logical, help whoever it is that made an issue out of this to see the difference between inRP and Out of RP.
Also; if it wasn't actually you guys who took what I said out of context, I'm sorry for directing this at you, since I don't know all the details, and since nobody except Valent said anything directly to me, I'm left sort of guessing.
I'm gonna respond here since I'm sure your comments were directed at me.
I object (inRP) to a ranking admiral of the Liberty Navy talking to terrorists about dismantling LPI. (Now ooRP) Especially when the comment is made by you. I'm well aware of your past history with LPI and have always respected you for it. Regardless of the many issues that have arisen between LPI- and [LN] in the past (both inRP and OoRP) we have always been able to have a cordial working relationship.
However, though you of course can act as you wish on your character you must be aware that when you send an "unencrypted" transmission messages do get intercepted. Especially when they are directed to a terrorist organization that is openly trying to start a civil war inside Liberty.
When a certain LPI officer got ahold of a copy of this transmission he was most certainly not amused. Statements like those you made and especially to whom you made them too do little but encourage hostility between branches of the Liberty Armed Forces.
LPI may not be perfect but you would never see an LPI Officer make such public disparaging statements about the Liberty Navy or LSF.

And you're free to object inRP, if I were you I might have even written a response in that communications channel thread, but if you really pay attention to what was said, Rachel was speaking in hypotheticals, and she was also speaking as an individual.
The overall point of what she was saying was that just because she disagrees with some things about Liberty, that doesn't mean the logical thing to do is pick up a gun and become a rebel. The LPI was not the focus of what she was saying, but rather something she used to help make her point.

I am 100% fine with this. Roleplaying is about interactions between characters, and those interactions do not always need to be positive in order to be fun. (As long as there's no ill will from the participants as players, out of character.) I'd also like to point out that LPI is not a branch of the "Armed Forces of The Republic", while they are part of the "Primary Fleets", they are a civilian law enforcement agency and not a branch of the military.

As I said before, I absolutely love you guys as a faction, and you're still one of my favorites on Disco, but I have in fact seen plenty of LPI- affiliated characters share negative viewpoints about the Navy inRP, and even some out of RP, but oh well, so what?
There is absolutely no reason why the opinion of one of my characters (Or anybody else's characters for that matter), and some words that a character used, to have created such an epic crapstorm of a reaction among players out of character. There is no reason for this to have escalated to the point it's at now.
I really don't get why it upset you so much as a player, that a FICTIONAL CHARACTER shared her FICTIONAL OPINION, of a FICTIONAL police force.
If we could all just relax, and let inRP opinions be inRP opinions...and not start trying to spill each other's blood as players, that'd be awesome, because seriously, I have absolutely zero bad things to say about the LPI- as a player.

From the laws of Liberty -
Liberty forces means the Liberty Police Incorporated, the Liberty Navy, and the Liberty Security Force. If you'd like I could also point out dozens more examples of LPI being considered part of the Liberty Armed Forces.
Civilians or not, I consider this argument to be nothing more then [LN] arrogance.

This is where you lost me. Though we discussed it in our Skype chat and I did private msg you regarding this(which was mostly to clarify a point in LPI lore) I don't understand how it's created an epic crap storm. Your opinions are your own but as an Admiral you must be aware that opinions of high ranking officers while addressing a faction that has vehemently opposed LPI's existence in the past can be interpreted as more then just an opinion. It's a concern because of who you said it to not so much what you said.
Now as far as taking things ooRP or escalating the situation
I didn't post anything about it on the forums. I haven't gone on any tirades about the evil Liberty Navy. I didn't invade the comm channel. I didn't post in the navy's feedback thread. I intentionally did nothing to escalate this situation. Just like I've avoided public criticism when LN has done other questionable things. (Remember La Mona?)
Chief of LPI or not I will always be fiercely protective of LPI. And if you don't want other agencies reading your mail encrypt your messages. Because LPI considers the Commonwealth of Liberty to be an existential threat to the Republic and we will do everything we can to monitor their activities, their communications, and prevent any cooperation with those terrorists.
