The only problem is that you'll see dozens a lot of people flying with CR/HF/RoS/SCRA ships and weapons, without the respective faction IDs. Why? Because the ID's are available to factions only, and you suggest the tech should be free for all.
That's quite stupid and counterintuitive. Might as well make the ID's public as well. But unfortunately no-one wants that, so there you go.

I imagine either one of your posts would have carried any weight at all, rather than none, if you had gone through a process of removing ship permissions on the touted consensual buyout trial on a per case basis rather than simply deciding to remove the list in its entirety.
The CR has decided that their ships will be exclusively their own. All events which have taken place are to secure that objective.
The CR has been looking for a means by which to kick persons out of their future ships for some time. The original plan was to simply inform everyone that the permissions applied retroactively to the IMG, that the money the CR was pocketing selling ships was going to fall on the shoulders of another faction.
In fact, this entire thread skylines some of the best first attempts by the CR to subvert the hole into which they had sunk themselves: http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=94069 in addition to hard responses to their exposed conspiracy to capitalize on gains they never intended to pay out on. Namely to sell sell sell and allow someone else to deliver.
The end result is that they were told what they could and could not do. The CR decided that was not to their liking. Plan B was obviously to simply do what the CR does best, break the rules and see how bad the fallout is. The last time they gained enough attention the response was a rather flaccid mass jailing of the entire faction. This time I imagine it's going to be a little more. A notion I feel comfortable in making in light of the efforts they're employing to muddy the issue, play a ragged victim card and the time honored tradition of simply lying and hoping that the admin team will lack a coherent manner in which to progress.
Or, for the tl;dr crowd:

If you bought a NYX from CR, your ship will change to the new IMG ship and... we're still thinking if to let you have the NYX again (probably not :haha:)
Reading the above post by Dusty_Lens and the way Gheis and Zelot have addressed the issue, it become obvious that this is a smear campain by them. And please, why shouldnt the CR have a say in who fly their ships, in the same way that SCRA, Wilde, and Keepers do (and Phantoms did)? Why is that a conspiracy by CR?
Furthermore, the rules were changed AFTER the permissions were given. The propper thing to do would have been to apply them like this only to the contracts that were made AFTER the rule change. Seeing to who is making a row over it (Gheis, Zelot, Dusty Lens, all who just happen to be in the Reavers who caused the whole issue of faction shooting tech granters in the first place), I think its very clear who is the "conspiracy" here.

I'm pretty sure a version of the "no revocation" rule has been there for a long time as I recall being told about it before I went on my hiatus. So any smear campaign or conspiracy is either bull****, a major rationalization (and perhaps vindictive), or you meant that entirely in a non-serious way and I just utterly failed in reading.

I would ask exactly how you presume to know every thought that the CR has had?
Considering the CR is made up of well, people, you are presuming to know exactly what others are thinking.
When was the last time folks presumed to know exactly what you were thinking?
The Dusty has decided that his forums would be exclusively his own. All events which have taken place are to secure that objective.
The Dusty has been looking for a means by which to remove bad persons from his forums for some time. The original plan was to simply inform everyone that these people are bad peoples.
In fact, the past post skylines some of the best <strike>first</strike> attempts by the Dusty to subvert the hole into which they had sunk themselves. I'm not actually arrogant enough to assume to know what you want or what you have spent the past months planning.
You could've been doing anything, including planning a party just for the CR and everyone who hasn't agreed with all you've said.
Anything at all to be honest, I have no idea and I'm not going to try guess.
Clearly the CR is doing a terrible thing though and we must be stopped!
We're giving people money for ships they most likely don't have, or will most likely get rid of.
Next we're going to commit the worst atrocity in history.
We're going to start an orphanage.

Yes, clearly the issue of a faction deleting its tech permission chart in violation of server rules is a Reaver Conspiracy.
Clearly.
That the CR continued to grant tech permissions following the rules change has nothing to do with it, I'm sure. Nor does any of the statements of intent, a mere fraction of which were provided in the link I placed above. Nor do the slurry of delightfully conflicting statements concerning the rhyme or reason behind this recent mishap showcase an aim and purpose of misdirection and personal satisfaction at the cost of crede and community.
Clearly. It's a Reaver Conspiracy.
Clearly.
@ Linkus: Did you really just respond to my on topic post with a truly pathetic troll attempting to paint said on topic post as slander based on you screaming that I'm a troll, while trolling? Lawlz.
Didn't want to point fingers, but indeed, the reaver untrustworthiness is the underlying cause of all this. None of this would have happened if it wasn't for them and certain others first happily applying and receiving what they wanted and later just as happily headhunting me and my men.

You've been selling your tech to enemies willy nilly since time out of mind. And those are just the people I can recognize as shooting the CR off hand, who knows who these other clowns are. All this looooooong before there was an issue with the Reavers and their (how many again? Let's check)

Oh my gosh. Two Nyxs'.
Two.
So the underlying cause of all of this was that there are two Nyx's out there assigned to the Reavers Panzer?
Really?
Really really?
' Wrote:Mao, you arent listening. The CR is not allowed by the rules to revoke tech permissions one they are given. That means all those Nyx's you gave out, are out of your control, out of the CR's control. You cant force people to give them up. Doesnt matter what the leadership of the CR decides. You can only ask the Admins to make people give them up..... not sure what the reaction to that would be.
