i haven t seen the lsf bossing around like that - but in fact, its the LPIs job - haha - when its about upholding the law in liberty, its the LPIs job, when its about securing the systems, its the navy. only if its some special task, its LSF
Try telling that to the LSF. They effectively told us that they were our bosses and we should do whatever they told us.
And Jinx is right, the LSF shouldn't really be doing general law upholding which is the exact reason i tried to form LPI (I'm ex-LSF so...) but as i said before, the LSF aren't going to let that happen.

P.S.
As for ship selection i was told by Fellow Hoodlum that the LPI would be allowed VHFs and possibly a Gunboat or two considering the current status of most pirates/smugglers and thier ships. LFs simply wouldn't cut it for the most part.
When Im in my Bounty Hunter character, I am a Bounty Hunter. When Im Salvager, Im a Junker etc. Whether a person has LSF characters or not, he was still a smuggler at the time. Although this was sort of out of RP...
I like the idea of LPI. I'd be an incompetent coward myself, scared of Lane Hackers and Outcasts. Just generally someone who scatter the line quickly and flee:DThen run and beg help from LSF, being concerned about saving his skin. Sounds like fun.
LPI - Scouting, patrolling, general peacekeeping.
LSF - Kicking.
Navy - Heavy kicking.
LSF are sort of SWAT, FBI or CIA. All of that.
Navy is for major conflict, usually between houses but sometimes pirates too can propose a challenge. (espiacally the "one man army's", that is an often case:D)
And to remain unnbiased... I love you all, hope we all get along fine and advance through the game with ease and spirit of friendship. Cheers. :$

Well said;)
On a seperate note, i would be seriously intested in joining the LPI if it gets formally created.
@Simon Black - Here's an example.
Take 5 skilled VHF pilots (we'l take average VHF ship for an example) and 5 skilled 5 LF (average ship again) pilots.
LF's would most probably kick their asses. And probably with minimal losses, if any.
In big numbers, these ships are but kickers. And i mean it.
Yes, they can be countered. But they will always have the advantage in agility (which is much better advantage then advantage in hull or firepower).
@Niezck - It's not about if they can use GB's, or VHF's, it's about do they want to.
And I don't.
Police should be all about 1 vessel (2 most), and 1 loadout.
Maybe only chief of police should have a gunboat, but it shouldn't really be used.
@Mjonlir - LPI can use debilitators, and yes, it is the best combo.
But it's the same problem.
Do we want to be fully RP like LPI NPC's, or do we want to be pwnzors.
I would chose option 1, but if all others agree that LPI should use debilitators in their loadout, it's ok.
As long as EVERYONE uses the SAME loadout.

I understand you completely, although there is one but. I agree that a LF beats VHF, if full potential of both ships is being used. What I meant is that I cant use full LF's potential and its agility to counter a VHF.
But all of this doesnt really matter, its theorical issue. Just wait for the others to come up with the stuff of how things are going to be.:)
Look, LF's are made to be VHF killers.
But, they are not as useful as VHF's.
In VHF's, you can counter Gunboats, Bombers, even Cruisers in good numbers.
LF's don't have the firepower for that, simply.
They are anti-fighter weapon, and that's it.
So, yes, i feel safer in my VHF, in sense that i can fight in most of the cases.
But, in LF, i don't have the fear of dying.
If you know how to use it, you can hardly be hit.

Guys listen up...we are, under no circumstances, going to use the Navy ships.Period.
No GBs,no VHF,not even HFs.
Capisci?Light Fighters and Prison Ship(maybe and if yes, only one as a flagship).I am restricting it to RP as much as possible.End of story.

Well spoken friend, and if that is your attitude I look very much forward
to working with this LPI group. The matter of using anything larger than
an LF MK II should be a simple one, how often do you see LPI fly anything
larger than an Liberator? Simple answer is they don't. How often do LPI?
fly a capital ship? Simple answer is never.
Should you ever need VHF and Cap ship support you can simply hail the
LSF or SA and request our assistance. And I guarantee that if we aren't
doing something better we will be there to assist you. I think that this is
infact a good idea, just yesterday I had one of my officers request
permission to form an LPI to handle the smaller less important pirates. So
I think you are filling a good gap here.
Final matter here for me is that the people RPing your LPI pilots will become
somewhat "stuck up" and resentful of the Navy and LSF and refuse their help
or simply not request it. And this would lead to the matter of the LPI being an
ineffective group.
However there is a chain of command in the RP Libertonian lawful forces, the
Navy can take charge of a situation if it gets out of control, just like the LSF
can, it is simple RP but its true and I know some of you will resent that. Please
don't, neither I nor Sniper are looking to steal anyones thunder or step on
anyones toes, but there will be times you will need to listen to us because we are
the ranking officers on call.
