SCRA are my lesser concern. I can live without them, if that is what the Elders decide.
But i refuse to cooperate with ICO, that was my main problem.
SCRA were rude to me quite a few time.
It is not an issue if we can exist without them, it is an issue will it be harder or easier.
I say let's give it a shot. They were wrong to interfere with TBH business, i agree.
I am not aware of the past interference in TBH business, but, if that is so, then this is not the first time.
Maybe the time has come for us to stand alone, without the Coalition.

You admit that the SCRA had victimised us. At that time you did not stand by our side, and I was forced to submit to them. Now you face conflict with the SCRA, and you expect us to stand with you? You chose your position with us during those times. Now that the ally you chose to be your closest is no longer your bedfellow, you expect us to come crawling back and stand by you as you expel them from your home?
You pick and choose your allies as it suits you.
The reasons for my decision have been made clear. My stance on this matter has been made clearer, and I will continue to decide what is best for my family regardless of the passing fancies of a group who would cast us aside one moment and then demand our help, the next.
We will make our own decisions on how we will treat ICO, though anyone in the guise of a Bounty Hunter will be shot on site regardless.
Any conflict between the SCRA and Brotherhood will not have our involvement.

Elders, we all know what has gone on in the past between the SCRA and the Corsairs. It is not much different from the present situation we find ourselves in. You say that you are tired of the SCRA pushing themselves around Gamma and Corsair space, thinking that they own the place. Well, we don't own the place, we shouldn't own the place, but what we should have is your respect. The countless times we've protected YOUR space, albeit for our own reasons, should command atleast the respect to listen to us in situations like the one regarding the ICO.
Now, if you had listened to us, you would have learnt that they are prohibiting smuggling in co-operation with the LSF, have raided Corsair shipyards in the past, and have fought against the Coalition in more than one occasion. But you didn't. We made a point from then on not to engage the ICO within Corsair space.
We have since proven that ICO's dealing are nothing but lawful, and are actually opperating under Bounty Hunter IFF's. Still, you hold us at arm's length. Is it so hard to embrace the fact that maybe someone other than you super-intelligent Corsairs might know a little more about the situation?
Yes, your chips are up at this point in time. Safety in numbers can't be argued with. But that can change rapidly, as well you know. When that happened last time, you needed us and we were there. There has never been a point where we have betrayed you. Shots have been fired between myself and a few Brotherhood members in the past, but I have never fired the first shot. We have constantly had to deal with being shot in the back by Corsairs day in and day out.
Right now, Gamma is merely a convenience for us. We have no need to station ourselves there. With this arms deal, the only thing we want is a gunboat or two, or the parts to repair them. We don't need them, it's merely a convenience.
You made a mistake dealing with the ICO in the first place, something that we tried to rectify. Fortunately you haven't suffered for your misjudgement. Treating the Coalition as you have done is your second mistake, luckily you haven't suffered here either, mainly due to our discretion. How far are you willing to push that abundant Corsair luck of yours?

Joe, you always have been a guide for me since my start in TBH. I started the voting to get an official "go ahead" to scrap the deal with ICO. I hereby order all Corsairs to shoot any ICO vessel in Corsair space and its borders. We won't let them go with this away unpunished! The voting is now closed.
Now this part is for you, Captain Zehn and the rest of SCRA. Some of you may say Elder Montoya alone did the mistake, which is false. We all made the mistake for not correcting him. We didn't shout "What are you telling about? These are our enemies!" We now seen that mistake and try to correct it as far as we can.
Captain Zehn, I think in all the years you fought with us you had to know we Corsairs tend to be hot-headed and make decisions too early. This incident is no exception. Even if you don't want to start another arms deal, I will still respect you and your men for what you did for us in the past. I can't say that for every Corsair about this, but I think many of us will be with me.
I hope we can discuss our diplomacy again in a good way.

I am gravely concerned about recent revelations. On top of all that as happened, we find your pilots threatening my family. As far as I understand, my family did nothing but uphold laws set forth to prevent the starvation of our people, and the collapse of our nation through famine, espionage and sabotage, yet where meat by death threats by Sr. Che.Guavera.
I trust this matter will be looked into extensively, and that the Brotherhood will deliver the apt, just and proper response.

Hola chicos,
I took a short vacation and I can't believe my eyes...
When I was leaving, everything was great, we rescued brother Torres in a great joint TBH/Benitez/SCRA operation and were about to revenge him and start kicking our common target - RepEx. But now it seems we are facing in-house squabbles again!
My father, Pedro Maniaco, was always trying to unite us, what do you think he would say now?? Normally I'd say 'Who cares?' but this time I have to agree with him.
What happened to the true Corsair spirit? Are we shooting each other now because some of our friends traders broke the rules by bringing passengers to Crete and the Benitez pilots made a correct attempt to stop it? Are we slapping and threatening each other because a another group of traders (ICO) promised to bring food to Crete and SCRA decided not to trust them?
Open your eyes, Hermanos! Talk to each other before shooting.
And be especially careful with the Coalition pilots. They are so eager to fight something that they forget where they are. Don't look at them badly, don't make jokes about them, don't fart in their presence or one day, you'll find a signed nuclear mine awaiting in your toilet.
Teresa Chavez out.
If I die, I forgive you, father. If I live we shall see.....Teresa Chavez
I thought it was in your best interest for me to inform you of recent developments with the ICO...
Whilst I was ambushed in Liberty recently, I was hailed by an ICO vessel. After some verbal saprring, I found out that the reason that he attempted to deal with you was that 11 ICO personnel had been captured on Planet Gammu in Omicron Kappa recently, and they wished to negotiate their safe return from the Corsairs. Understandable, I guess.
However... he failed to realise that those that had captured those 11 men were not Corsairs. They were marines based off of the RACS-Ho.Chi.Minh, commanded by the SCRA's Captain Richthofen. In fact, the ICO men remain in custody, as they were captured by our men after openly claiming to have stolen technology from the Corsairs.
Now... it appears that the Brotherhood were negotiating with prisoners that were (and still are) in our custody, and take offence when we say they were going about it in a poor fashion. Hmph.

From: The Brotherhood, Elder Montoya
To: All true Corsairs.
Today, the leader of the Benitez, showed his true colours to myself, Elder Yanez, Centurion Globalo and Tribune Skyelius, and Brother Jesus Martinez and the Abrigo trio.
As we have all known, tradition has dictated that a family can only have one Elder representing them on the council. So it has been, for over five hundred years on Crete, and all have respected and obeyed this law, set down by our forefathers.
Now, the Benitez proclaim that they want at least two Elders on the council, not satisfied with their one. They say they "defend Gamma 50% of the time", so "want 40% of the power". How can any family hold so much power over Crete. The Benitez say that we, the Brotherhood, are one family. What they fail to realise is that we house so many of the families of Crete. My own, the Montoya's, The Yanez's, The Abrigo's, The Martinez's, The Castillo's, all have a chance of becoming an Elder if they prove their worth. But not more than one from each familia, as it has always been.
Now the Benitez, unsatisfied with their perceived lack of power, want more and more. Carlos will stop at nothing to achieve absolute power, or what he likes to call "balance". His brothers of the Benitez follow like lambs to the slaughter.
As this meeting, which took place in Omicron 94, failed, a massive NovaPG and Outcast force assembled in Omicron Kappa and Theta. Brotherhood forces rushed back to Crete and made an emergency call to arms!
Our force assembled, but smaller than expected, because of the absence of a group, known as the Benitez.
Their eagerness to abandon their brothers in their time of need was noted by all at the site of the battle. They chose to leave their home, our home, Crete, to the dogs. It was lucky for us, that our call to arms brought Corsairs from as far as Gran Caneria and Cadiz, to aid our efforts and win the day.
Let me make this clear:
The Benitez Familia abandoned the Corsairs, not just the Brotherhood, in their time of need because of their lust for power. This is called High Treason.
In the course of man's history, on Earth and in Sirius, there have always been groups such as the Benitez. It is our job, as the council of Elders, to stop their lust for power.
We do not accuse the Benitez familia itself for being at fault, we accuse their leader for hunting for power. It was so important to him to break tradition and gain an unfair amount of power over the rest of the Corsairs, not just the Brotherhood, that he chose to abandon Crete in its time of need.
The flocks of loyal Corsairs who joined and helped us to drive away the invaders and turn the Kana Keiko into a flaming wreck above Crete have our thanks. They followed their heart, they are the true Corsairs. Do true Corsairs abandon their home? Do true Corsairs abandon their brothers? NO! They do not!
Brotherhood pilots arent the only witness to this, as pilots Bjorn Thorvaldsson and FalconEddy were present to see the Benitez fly away from Crete as the invaders closed in. If you don't believe the council of Elders, believe them.
Even Lieutenant Commander Ivan Voronov of the Coalition, those who were so recently ejected from Omicron Gamma, joined in on the battle for our side. Yet the Benitez's were nowhere to be seen?
The Benitez are so desperate to get power, yet some, no, most families on Crete have no representation on the council. So why should the Benitez get two or more representatives? It breaks tradition as well as being grossly unfair on all Corsairs. We work to protect the interests of the Corsairs. The Benitez work for themselves, not the interests of the Corsairs.
This message was written by Elder Montoya, and corrected/altered for more accuracy by Elders Yanez and Costello, Tribune Skyelius, Brother Castillo, Brother Julio Ibanez and Independant Corsair Bjorn Thorvaldsson.
All Corsairs are free to do what they please, as long as it brings the goals of the Corsairs closer. Decision time is now. Will you follow those who abandoned our home in its time of need, risking the death of your familia on Crete? Or will you follow those who fight until their very last breath, for the Corsairs, for our brothers?

Bah! We did not abandon anyone..If not for us, Gamma would now be ruled over by a Outcast Assault Battlegroup!
We did not help you directly during the fight, but went instead to the heart of the enemy, where a second battlegroup was being assembled. If not for us. You'd all be dead. We even managed to divert some of the fleet attacking Crete back to alpha! And for this, you still call us traitors? BAH. I've had enough of Brotherhood backstabbing.
