I dont know the exact numbers of the Kusari fleet (example: bretonia - 30/500/90k) but if their ships are more than the bretonians, in RP it makes sense if Kusari declare war on Gallia in the distant future. Kusari can see the truth how Gallia tolerate the weak (right now house bretonia) and foresee their future as next target which could make them slaves. I doubt the kusari people would let that happen...

Gallia will have to fight on two fronts with two Houses instead of one, which will bring more activity to both Gallic and Sirian factions. The main battlefield wont be just "Edinburgh-Leeds" but Taus and Kusari (maybe Kyushu).

Such change could give the kusari lawfuls and unlwafuls factions something to do. In the same time GRN faction and indies will have the chance to choose where to fight.

Before theres any thought of attacking Gallia, the crises within Kusari would have to be resolved and a definite leader put in place. Because last thing Kusari wants is to go to war and then half way through it, its whole economy collapses, and infighting crops up again. And that is assuming no other issues crop up in the near future, so going to wars definitely a good stage off - I'm guessing anyway.

Especially if you get some of Kusari defecting to Gallia, although with the Kusari honour system i doubt that's gona happen to any huge degree, but still something to watch out for.

But yeah i agree that with their Emperor fighting over in Bretonia a good portion of Kusari should feel honour bound to move in and help, here hoping anyway or i'm gona have to learn the phrase "I surrender and volunteer for mutiny" pretty quickly.

On the plus side, the lack of unlawfuls is making it super easy for the massive horde of Kusari traders around.

Quote:Civil war?

Why not?

Me and a friend of mine have been working on a story that could be the first stages of a civil war in Kusari. But we need more people and approvals to get the ball rolling (feel free to pm me )

Our idea would be this:
An uprising of several noble families and farmers who are displeased with Samura policy. Followed by noble families siding with the Blood dragons and thus giving them more manpower and resources. We were thinking of even a system falling to Blood Dragon control (Nagano would be ideal for this).

We're still polishing the rough edges and are going to contact more people about this. Any help would be welcome

Who has more thoughts on this?

Oh, you almost make it sound like traders don't miss crazed pirates on the lanes every now and then?

Wanna know how is it fixed?

Liberty and Bretonia vs Rheindland and Kusari

I actually though the war was like this before I joined Disco, though it was a a 2v2. Then gallia appears and it was K.

Signing every word in that text, if Kusari was inactive in 85, in 86 it has completely nothing to do.

no words could have described it better...

On topic:

activity_[KNF.html 10.19:25:38
activity_Samura.html 10.18:50:19
activity_GMG.html 10.14:21:31 (in case we are including the GMG into the activity of Kusari)
activity_Kishiro.html 6.09:56:12

Now compare that to the Top-3 of Bretonia:

activity_BAF.html 11.12:15:08
activity_Bowex).html 7.16:21:31
activity_BPA).html 4.22:19:30

Or the Top-3 of Rheinland:

activity_Kruger.html 12.06:33:16
activity_[RHA].html 11.11:14:51
activity_[RM.html 8.00:08:42

So yeah, I'd say on par with Rheinland but misses some unlawfuls. Now why is that? Answer: imbalance. The lawfuls have no real intentions whatsoever to fight the unlawfuls due to the badly balanced projectile speeds and tend to log off if in-house criminals show up.
All traditional Kusari unlawfuls have guns with 750m/s projectile speed while the lawfuls have to rely on 600m/s (and with the Sunfrenzy update 650m/s). Put that in combination with slightly slower ships and the result is no fun.
Let's not start about Samura who had our Black Dragons taken away and don't even have a ship to keep up with our enemies anymore. Thanks again to the Dev team for labeling us as Kishiro Mk II -again-.
Back to the Law enforcement: If we take a look at the other houses we'll always find a second gun with alternative gun speed of 700 or 750m/s. Kusari doesn't have those yet has to fight the tiniest ships on the server. So either buff KNF projectile speed or rebalance GC/BD ones.

Also: Concerning war creating activity: Kusari had its most active days back in .84 when the most profitable trade run was between Kusari and Rheinland. The ability to make money creates activity, no need to rely on war.
