From a dev i expected he'd apply the vanilla/discovery lore better, Oc's should have caps, and due to cardamine making them the smartest almost godlike Motherlovers there are, they should also be the best in tech advancements and the most skilled pilots ever(according to the lore atleast, we both know most of the OC aint even close to the best ) HOWEVER they should be limited yes, due to the reduced fertility i can see why they wouldnt have alot of people to man a whole armada.

They still lack the corporations to build a giant fleet like most houses. Cruisers - ok. Battleships - too much. That's what I think about it.
Even cruisers should be very few. They are few people because of how hostile the place is they live in (both Corsairs and OC) and because of the Cardamine, which prevented them from leaving Malta/Alpha for a very long time. It's still kinda sad that they don't have more developed territories. After 800 years even in such bad places you'd be able to build up some stuff, have some corps, have a gov, be a country...

As for your IMG Gunboat arguments: You suddenly have a powercore as capable as ours, your hull is 30000 stronger than ours, you're WAY MORE agile, The IMg guns got boosted to the point theyre nearly as good as ours (about 755/760 and 365/370 (if i'm not mistkaing, i know the diffrence is 10 poitns of damage at most)).

The powercore wasn't changed. Neither on the IMG nor the OC GB.
The hull doesn't matter much. What matters are the nanobots. Take a calculator and check for yourself, they make up most of the armor. A slight hull buff isn't much.
Also, the ship feels exactly as agile as the Hydra was. Even the turrets are almost the same like on the Hydra.
"as ours" - that's called BALANCE. Should be used more often. Have a nice day.

Ever heard about the GMG? They beat the whole Rheinland fleet. Took them quite some time, but they still did it. Ever heard about paramilitaries? With your small "house-like" house, it's easier to fend you off then if you were a real house.

Dude, this happens to us all. Show up in Liberty in a indie pirate GB and watch the libby dreads swarm on you. Every faction has gankers, capwhores and so on. It's not an OC-related problem in any way or shape. Moreover you and your mate should get bombers and enjoy the opportunity to destroy an unescorted cap on a detour like that.
