News, a long time coming, but inevitable. The Brotherhood has declared a state of hostility to the SCRA. The reasons inculde an unprovoked attack on my dear friend, who I owe my life to, Ivan Voronov, and the constant disobeying of requests and eventually orders to leave the system.
Aboard the new Battleship, the Memoria, the cruiser Ho Chi Minh's shields were brought to 10% capacity. He complied with this small amount of ... persuasion.
Later, recieved transmission from said cruiser, claiming to have attacked and severly damaged Leon. I think he missed the holes in his ship from the station mounted torpedo launchers and neutron batteries... certainly, Leon has reported very few casualties.
In case this isn't clear, I will make it so. The disobediance, arrogance and propaganda from the Coalition is not to be tolerated any longer. Fire on sight, no exceptions.
I urge all Corsairs to shed the lies of the Coalition and unite against them. However, this is only an urge, and independants with other factional Corsairs are not obliged to assist, even though it would be greatly appreciated. They did, after all, claim to set Leon ablaze.
Also, if Joe Costello is reading this, I extend a hand of salvation to you in the name of the Corsairs and the Brotherhood. This is the diplomacy you wanted. This is the diplomacy we work by with factions that should never have entered Omicron Gamma. Join us again and shed the lies and shackles of the Coalition. Be not eager to impress in your new poisition, but this is your only chance, before a full scale war comences, to return to us. Please make the decision based on the feelings of your heart, where your home is and what you stand for.
After witnessing the events with my own eyes in Gamma I cannot agree more with this decision. Until this has blown over I will be on station on Crete with both my fighter and Bomber

I want confirmation of this attack on Leon...If it is true, the SCRA will feel the fury of the Benitez if they ever enter Gamma again.

I haven't witnessed the attacks personally, as I was busy fighting outcasts with several our brothers (as well as one of yours) in Omicron Eta last night, but on the way back I stopped at Leon for repairing and refueling my ship and saw the damages of defence system of the base myself. The bartender told me that both Leon and Cadiz were attacked by retreating Coalition forces and both are doing all they can to repair the damage. Regarding the logs of the system frequences Coalition pilots were doing so in order to prevent the 'traitors' from launching counter attacks.
Sir, we don't want to force the Benitez family to take sides in this conflict I just beg you, rely on your instincts and never play the role of puppets in treacherous plans of the coalition.
The Brotherhood has been doing this mistake for too long...

I must change my first statement...The Benitez will only enter the conflict IF ENGAGED. I am sorry to say this, but it must be done. We are currently working on rearming our warships and CANNOT at this time engage such forces as the Coalition...

I regret your decision, however I understand your position would be untenable if you were to engage in hostilities against the Coalitionary force.
Enter the war only when or if you feel you are ready. Until then, we shall do my utmost to push them back to Cape Verde. The Zoners there may be uneasy that Corsairs are passing into the system and blockading the station, but it must be done.
The Coalition are indeed a highly trained force of individuals. This decision for war has been motivated by their arrogance, disrespect and their attempts, which have all been reported to the Brotherhood, to convince independant Corsairs to support their lies.
I looked up the old USSR in my free time, and found out that it collapsed from mass unrest in its east European territories. If that is the best they can offer with their ideals, then I think we should pass.

I cannot speak for anyone other. But, prepared or not, i will stand with any Corsair who is attacked.
There are many of independent Corsairs who pay no heed to the council, or public broadcast. Iwould suggest, that they will need to be told word of mouth, and by deed.

Since I have not been at my post for the last week, I can say I'm suprised at the revelations I see before me in my subordinate's reports. I feel it is a shame, though I shall not persuade you in any other way. Persuasion is not what you 'people' need right now. A lesson is more appropriate, I feel. You will, from now on, feel the REAL wrath of the Coaltion. We shall not hold back. We shall fight to the death if need be, something that you and yours seem reluctant to do. That includes you, Montoya. The most I've seen of you is your back as you run from a battle, damaged.
That aside, I'd like to remind you as to who threw the first stone in these hostilities. Who banished the other when they were just trying to help? Who confronted who when visiting relatives was all that was in mind? And who threw the first shot when all was said and done? Needless to say, the Coalition will not fight those who have not shown this disrespect. It is the Brotherhood who are fools, not the Corsairs.
That is all I will say for now. But who knows, I might just say a word or two when I walk passed your graves in the future.

Sorry, empty threats of death and destruction to not phase me. Neither does your propaganda.
Quite frankly, the Elders have had enough with the disrespect and arrogance that the Coalition show to myself and my brothers. Fireing on a man who successfully saught asylum on planet Crete and in Omicron Gamma, a destroyer and fighter appearing to destroy said man, and refusing to leave the system when asked, and subsequently ordered. Your men waited to see if we were made of empty threats. Now that you see we are not, don't throw the toys out of your pram.
Such confidence as yours; almost a shame to crush, like an eggshell under a booted foot..
Let us not play the threat game, 'Elder'. Your threats will always be empty, regardless of your will to carry them out. The 'Brotherhood's' indecisions, starting with yours, will be it's downfall.
How can the worst threat you could possibly muster even so much as make me flinch, when I know that your band of fools is soft from the top down?
The Coalition is an army, capable of universal destruction whoever the enemy. We will crush you. But I don't expect you to listen now. Why break a habit of a lifetime? Once you've sacrificed most of your group of disillusioned thugs, you'll see what I mean.
