I once bounced with full cruise into a asteroid ( this happend with the train and spyglass ) and immediately after I turned on EK...My speed was around 500~600 at that point...
Yes, I have been beta testing on the PvP server, specifically I was testing that part. It works as it should as far as I have seen myself and admins participating in the testing. I cannot tell any details here for obvious reasons, so that's all I will say here.
What about when you are behind a group member and you press formation button. You go 420 m/s. Does the "anti cheat" software pick this up as cheating? because if it does, then we have a very serious problem indeed.

The software knows the difference
Now we will not give you any details, but trust me it works.
Tony, it's not a matter where you can say "trust me" and everyone must trust. I believe that if there wasn't any in-game evidence that one was speed-modding, the ban should be open for appeal. The person who didn't actually cheat most likely won't appeal to be unbanned. Even if there was a cheat, repeated check will reveal the violation once again, with perma-ban imminent this time.
About speed. 420 speed limit was taken into account when setting up our anticheat. It logs speed only if it exceeds 421.
And it's true that anticheat is sometimes not 100% reliable. However, many people whom we banned later admitted that they were using speed-modding, or reported using FLMM 1.4 (therefore the speed actually was exceeding the limits).
FLMM 1.4 incorrectly deactivates speed mod, and (possibly) other mods that involve scripts instead of file replacing. It's a beta, and using it is not recommended.
A lot of the people have been innocent lately, Tony. You can't just say that everyone is cheating because the software says so. Even in the best software there is bugs.

Dopamino how the hell do you know they was innocent?
The people who have Pm'ed me or E-mail Igiss have stated they had it.
Now do you think some one who is cheating and got caught and was not a mistake will Post " Yes i Had Speed Mod On By Mistake"
No they will get eye witnesses who will state the flew with them and they had gone the normal speed and raise holy hell on the forums that they was wrong done by.
Dopamino until you know all the facts Dont use the words "A lot of the people have been innocent lately, Tony."
You know, if we knew the facts, then Im sure this thread wouldn't be here, but we dont know the facts, and this thread is a testament to that. You say you wont tell us the fact, and then take away our right to question what you say, because we dont have them.
That does seem unfair to me, and we do have free will to question what happens, whether we know or are given facts or not.
Also, its pretty easy to go 500 m/s + without having speed mod on. Stop infront of an NPC Bretonian Battleship, or infront of a Liberty cruiser (the forward gun part). You get swallowed by the ship and catapulted out at 600 m/s if you are sitting still in engine kill. And thats a fact.
