How did they grief? I dunno what happened, so please tell me.
As far as I could tell rearding the Vig ID, they took advantage the fact it was a kill all that I see without any role play merit ID.
They kreig'd IMG relentessly and IMG had no role play recourse because Kruger was using non Kruger ID/Tag'd alts to hunt them. The Kruger chaps were demanding ore, which wasn't contraband, and killing the IMG for not complying. They were hunting a lawful faction instead of being Vigilantes and hunting the criminals.
ID was broken and they took advantage of it to further their ooRP agenda of hatoraide.

Nope, only the Xeno ID. Second ID has a ZoI of Bretonia/Rheinland/Kusari and can use gunboats.
Didn't we already establish ZoI is a non-argument? The Vigilante ID forced players to use a lawful IFF and obey the ZoI of that IFF, Freelancer and Zoner tags were forbidden so it too was an ID of limited ZoI, even it was a more dynamic limit.

Uhm, yeah... that was against the rules then and not a fault of the ID.
The Vigilante ID doesn't allow them to attack IMG.
Should have just been sanctioned then, I don't see how the ID was the cause of the problem.

You missed the kill all that I see without any role play merit part didn't you? To clarify that:
Quote:Can demand any non-house police or non-house military ships to drop any contraband
Can hunt pirates and terrorists anywhere in Sirius except for the Omicron systems
The rules do not define what contraband is, what a pirate is, nor what a terrorist is. Thus, those using the Vigilante ID were defining those three things as they saw fit.
@ Puv
I can't speak for the Gaian or the Gallic Junker ID, but the Xeno ID is a far cry from what the Vigilante ID was. Far. Cry.
Seems like a rather small problem to me. Just need to define those things on the ID then, ye?
Quote:Can demand any non-house police or non-house military ships to drop any contraband
-this is limited to: Artifacts, Cardamine, Counterfeit Software, Liquid Cardamine, Slaves.
Can hunt pirates and terrorists anywhere in Sirius except for the Omicron systems
-this includes any ID that has the label 'may engage in piracy' on it as well as the terrorist ID.

Just my suggestions.
Mining faction IDs have "May engage in piracy against corporations affiliated with houses at war with X" and "May engage in piracy against X players in the Y only."
Puv, Vigiliant ID isn't restricted to small ZoI. At all. Vigliants can use Bounty Hunter IFF if they wish, or IMG IFF - both have sirius wide ZoI and are completely lawful.
I never said they were restricted to small ZoI, I said they were restricted to the ZoI of their IFF and were not allowed to use the Zoner or Freelancer IFF.
