Some people seem to miss on fact that they are also the part of that "random team". I can imagine a lot of other guys in your "random team" complaining about what they view "random team" and talking same about you as being one of the dumb/stupid.
Now ofc sometimes something gets wrong. And you need to decide what to do. Roll with the mob or stay and propably die defending left flank if everyone went on the right one. From my experience I had few of those fights then I've holded entire flank alone or with sole companion which ussaly ends up to be two tiers lower than myself.
Now E-75 iron walls talks for itself. But I can remember one such fight in a mountain pass while operating Tiger I. If you won such a fight, then you actually know how much you contributted to entire teams victory is one of the most rewarding gaming exprience you can have. Well for me atleast.

Do you know what happened to the idea of smaller teams? Maybe you've encountered the situation on the testserver when there were matches 7vs7 or 8vs8.

Well, defending one flank all by yourself mostly happens when you catch the lemming train or a bunch of super-pro-lol-players are going to camp until they get ripped by at least half of the enemy team.
But yeah, that complaining really becomes annoying from time to time mostly when you got kills on your list while those complaining either died within seconds or haven't even seen an enemy tank through out the game.

Sometimes the reason you get those kills is because other players who already died damaged the enemy team tanks badly so that all you needed was a couple of finishing blows. Sometimes just because you had most kills doesn't tell much about how you contributted to the team. Most likely you would have done more if you would have fought with your team at the time, instead of waiting/camping and collecting few kills at the end of the game.

Yes, I know that some players just go for the Confederate award, I sometimes do that too.
But when you're done (killed) and you're watching other players you can see how afraid some are getting a scratch in their tank. No movement at all and if they're shooting enemies they're mostly out of range or blocked. Usually the number of those players decreases as the day passes.
So, what's this I hear about French tanks having a revolver-style magazine that fires much faster for a shorter period of time, then takes longer to reload?

Most of the french tanks above tier 6 have a magazine of 4-6 rounds that can fire every 3-5 seconds, and then takes from 20-45 seconds to reload. Some higher tier TDs, and their arty also have this feature. It is countered by the fact that all french units have next to no armour.
