So where is the territorial warfare? We already have empty systems most of which aren't occupied by anyone. Past a few skirmishes between the Core and the OZ/Order not much happens even in the ones that are occupied (warfare wise).
Do try to think past the handful of month shelf life most of your ideas have.
Snak and Alley have it right. Resources. Credits. This is what people will fight over. Implement more mining fields further off the beaten path. Let the PoBs control them. No need for new systems which will be used in exactly the same manner the currently empty ones are [not] being used.

Right. More alcohol in my blood. Let's see if this helps.
Look. I have no idea why you suddenly started acting like a bellend around me, it was probably my remarks about the OSI, which, I really must admit I never had any problems with while I encountered them on numerous characters of mine.
Empty systems, which do not belong to anyone. Name a few. I dare you. And I will tell you which bases already occupy them.
All I know, is that you became a total twat to me since the last year or so, and up until now I have really grown concerned about it, because I honestly do not remember what I did wrong. Want to tell me, perhaps? On skype? Or here, if you really want to?
I am sure in about two days it will really make no difference anyway, so might as well ask now.

Make more copies of Kansas plox, well, minus the nom gate. Though my point is give them some mystery, like the base in there which an unexplained wreck, noone where it came from and stuff like that.

I'm treating you no different than I've treated you in the past, if you think I am that is your own problem/perception of it.
Out of those, Zeta and Lost have seen fairly small amounts of warfare due to PoBs. Kansas is the gem which gets fought over. Not because it is empty, but because of its placement.
As I said. Your ideas are hardly ever thought full through. Snak and Alley took your idea and thought it through. I agree with the base idea - that we need areas of space where PoBs will be a form of territorial control and create activity.
I don't agree adding new systems that are empty is the solution when we already have a handful of them and they remain empty and unused. Those that are used are placed in close proximity to high traffic areas and close to resource rich systems.

That might be because Zeta is HUGE!!!
OZ's only two enemies are either Inactive, their home system is a LONG way away or their ZOI is so huge they cant spend all day pew pewing us.

I have been asking for the ring around the Zeta sun to be Mine-able...
Infact if we made that the place where Iridium is mined then the BHG Core and Order could have some interesting fights over it in the next update.
Also... wtf? Is this really a OZ is doing good thread?
Sad thing is come next update our bases might no longer be
in "cool and clever places" ... Admins still wont tell me if
they are willing to "re-arrange them" if the system is drastically
changed, which by the sounds of it, it will be.
' Wrote:Shame is, cant scan it to get there. Unless you keep trying with random jumps and lots of transport peeps with cargo
Would be fun though, had an idea of a system like that.
That's what I was actually thinking. Then there could literally be some exploration to even get there. I was thinking it could be systems like Luneburg, if they could just be given one-way exit jumpholes. Not sure on feasibility, but could be intriguing.
Quote:I'd still like to see empty, unconnected systems that one had to jump to get to.
This is an excellent idea.
The thing is, "Empty" systems with only astronomical stuff like clouds/asteroids/minable loot/codie wrecks/"Boss" NPCs that drop stuff like DEFILERS or something. The whole idea is they're not meant to necessarily be occupied by player factions. Infact, it's better if they aren't.
Even without Player Bases, such empty systems are useful for people to explore or find some other RP use for. they should have something worth exploring, colonizable planets for Planetform to terraform, Alien stuff for scientists to science. Mysterious/Abandoned permanent bases for people to claim, UFOs or Unideitified alien NPCs, etc.
A few systems without Jumpholes should also be available. Remote, middle of nowhere, mysterious, interesting.
Of course, there has to be some way of getting Jump Fuel out of them without a base. Like making some mine-able "stuff" that works as Jumpdrive fuel, or putting a mysterious alien wreck full of MOX or Deuterium or something.

It would be a massive **** move to take away your bases due to changes of the dev team you couldn't know about.
' Wrote:This would be great if player bases had some variation.
Sadly I have to agree with <strike>baka</strike> <strike>erica</strike> Rita on this.
What would be a good addition was a set of different models for base building.
Perhaps, a Asteroid Base, a border station base and something else. The modules would be the same, just
different models for a bit of variation from the standard 3 hangar bays.
